While the first chunk does drag a bit, reaching the end is a scary thought and all three are fearful of the truth and what it will do. The dragging serves a purpose and anyone saying it was a waste of time seems odd to me, as how do you watch 2 seasons and not get something out of the finale?
@@AHBrandonReviews the reasonings I've heard from those people are some of the weirdest, though a few did make points saying it should've focused more on Hachiman's philosophical standpoints as initially a loner instead of the romance aspects. Perhaps they didn't view the series the right way all that time.

What I love about SNAFU the most is that they did not use the “love-triangle” troupe to make their characters act immaturely and make stupid decisions because of their “raging teenage hormones”. It’s refreshing to see all 3 main characters act like mature adults, fully understanding the gravitas of the conflict they are all in, and being cautious of their actions because they don’t want to hurt each other are all looking for the best outcome possible.

Ngl I understand some of the frustrations among the LN readers as s3 was airing because of the cut content but I never believed they'll twist the ending just because of that 1 interview, I'd even say they did that to keep everybody guessing even if the lightnovel ended.
just finished this show and this review really helped me put my thoughts into perspective, great analysis and can't wait to rewatch this with another perspective!
I loved the ending. I was very happy when yukino told hikki that she loves him. It was a very satisfying way to end an amazing show. This show is in my top 3 and will be there for a while. I absolutely loved it and the ending was perfect. I would love to get a season 4
@@AHBrandonReviews Thankyou for your video I appreciated it for the lack of Yui bashing. I empathised so much with her unrequited love and the strength it took her to come back to the club to face up and ask to start over with the genuine want to put her romantic feeling away? and just be friends with Yukino and Hachiman. That was my take and why I struggle to understand all the Yui hate out there, what I am I missing?
I like how this was wrapped up in a satisfying way but still left things “open” Because in real life it’s not just a: *”happy ending” and that’s that* I definitely like those endings of course, but when it’s done right, I honestly don’t mind ones like these either
Oregairu is definitely a series I would love to rewatch every once in a while. People dont really talk about sensei who was the person till the end on whom Hachiman relied the most. Surprisingly she was one who didn't changed the whole series, she created her image in season1 and 2 that you can always expect that if sensei is in this episode finally we will move forward with the current situation. She might have saw her picture on Hachiman and decided to not let this child do the thing which will lead him to an eternal loneliness. Also please just get her a man please if only I could just go this anime and confess her with my head on her heels. Same goes for Yukinoshta Haruno, she seriously got quite the hatred. But despite her character of overinvolving in the subject she is one who actually wanted genuine from the start, she is confused if there is actually anything genuine exist. She quickly saw through the trio and how badly thier current relationship would end up from her experience. She brings the points which Hachiman wants to avoid or he wants to ignore them but those were the points which were keeping him away from genuine. Her words were the 2nd most piercing in the entire season. Indeed she was extremely scary yet she was very super cute.
I really enjoyed this series the first time I watched it and was satisfied with the ending. I just recently watched it again and I still think the ending was good, but I wish there could’ve been a happier and more satisfying ending for Yui, even though such a thing wasn’t really possible. That just goes to show how connected the anime makes the viewer feel to the characters, and I love it.
I just finished season 3 for the first time... I'm happy with how things ended we pretty much all knew he was gonna go with Yuki even before season 3 and I'm ok with that but it's so hard to explain... Yeah Yuki an hiki deserve each other but to me it didn't feel as genuine as if he had ended up with yui I feel like her bubbly attitude would have really brought hiki out of his shell plus in the anime hiki an yui had so many more moments and dates and she wasn't scared to get all lovey dovey and it was really cute and way more wholesome feeling idk to me their love felt more natural and she definitely put way more work into getting him i mean the entire reason she was there was to learn how to make those cookies for him like she had feelings for him way longer then yuki and really the only heart to heart that really stood out with yuki an hiki prior to the ending where hiki pretty much confesses then the next episode where she says "i really love you" was the save me scene when they were on the log flume ride other then that there was no like major romance to me like between yui and hiki with yui we got way more 1 on 1s it just felt more natural to me like there were so many times she pretty much confesses her love and backs it up with actions even though shes terrified of what might happen especially after seeing the log flume picture under yukis pillow like she even pretty much said she wanted to marry hiki all yuki really did was by into her sister's bullshit and pushed hiki away damn near the entire time while yui is over here really trying to give it her all. I felt like he should have gone with Yui for sure and then Yuki gets saved by them together and have Yuki do what yui did cause really all Yuki needed was real genuine friends to have her back since she was always going on about not having any because people always ended up jealous of her an just envied her so her finally finding real friends to learn on and accepting them an their help and love and hiki finally returning yui's feeling made way more sense to me especially with how wholesome they were together Everytime on screen like so many examples and how close yui was with his sister and with yui's mother them all cooking and the fireworks hotel room all the times the walked together the cookies like their was just so much more warmth between yui and hiki and I understand a lot of the Yuki content was kinda cut or so I've heard I don't know I'm about to read the Manga and light novels and stuff before I stand by that but overall I feel like yui and Yukis roles should have been reversed I'm ok with how it ended it was cute sad and wholesome and refreshing all at the same time but I feel like it would have been even better had the girls switched places with yui getting with hiki and Yuki doing what yui did idk I just can't picture Yuki and hiki actually settling down and having a family especially with what she wants to do with her life and do what her father does and how her family is like it just feels to forced to me unlike with yui i could totally see her and hiki getting married having everything come full circle from their prom dance to their wedding dance then having kids and bringing them to thats same aquarium and the fireworks and making cookies together all that really wholesome stuff we saw between them... Idk I'm happy with how it ended but if it had been switched I probably would have squealed like a little girl I just feel like yui worked for it an put way more in then Yuki I cried like a little girl Everytime yui fell apart and cried especially the scene where her mother held her an let her cry ugh fucking fuck that shit hit me so hard... But with that said with the way things were left I could totally see yuki after college going to follow in her father's footsteps or whatever that shits all about and neglecting hiki and Yui coming to say the day can save hiki cause I mean ever since he chose Yuki she's pretty much said multiple times she's going to wait for him till the very end hence foreshadowing idk I just feel like they showed way more of hiki and yui's growth together vs hiki and Yuki especially with yui's inner monologues I I even wondered if this was her story of how she won over the guy she wanted and all the struggles like I don't recall any inner monologues with Yuki she'd just sit there with that dumbass half assed fake smile and I just don't see a happy ending for those two later down the road I just don't yui is clearly the better choice for a happy ever after later down the road and I feel like there was a lot of foreshadowing hinting to that but I could just be being biased because I wanted Yui to win haha sorry this was so long
The series is definitely one of my favourite romance anime of all time. I know there’s a sequel supposedly of Hachiman meeting her parents and also a few other things that happened. Also there is a spin-off alternative route if she went with Yui which differs. I personally loved the animation style of season 2 and 3 with Studio Feel. The final season became quite philosophical
So, let me state something here that I wouldn't normally but your feelings permeated me, and I would like to share my point of view. This anime is truly beautiful because it deeps into an invisibilized population of the world which is people that have difficulties socializing, might have been marginalized, and even psychologically bullied more than physically. In this sense, I found it completely relatable to my personal experience in high school, with a beautiful love story that made it even more interesting. Furthermore, the love triangle and Hachiman's reactions made me want to read the light novel, which I have ready to start in the near future. I was a bit unsatisfied with the ending though. Why? Well, it is arguably perfect in many aspects, yes but I lacked chapters. That is, I would accept the premise that it is a very good ending that could have been much worse, but I lacked "happy" chapters, if you will, furthering into the love story, and vision into a future where friendship still survived and everybody found their own way, adulthood, all of that. I know it is never supposed to become Kishuku Gakkou no Julliet which is even another genre, if you will, of romance, but it is a bit like Sokugeki no Souma: Yes, I endure certain chapters of difficulties and drama and story building and expect at least to end up reading that chapter like the Naruto last ones in which you are given complete closure and happiness all around. But, again, let me restate that this show might be in my top for a long time like yours, very close to masterpieces which I thought would never fall because of a show known as Snafu or Oregairu, but for me, that was the barrier between top ten and top five.
Snafu is my favourite show of all time. The show is so self aware and the characters are all so well written, instead of making people think school life is all happy go lucky, shows like that just irritates me because I think they just tell people lies. Sorry if I was too harsh btw.
To be completely honest, after finishing the season I was a little dissapointed that the confession scene came completely at the end. I would have loved to see more of Yukinon and Hachiman, however many scenes there was of just them in the show, felt so short. So I would have loved to see maybe another episode or 2 of just them. Also why I was glad Oregairu Shin was coming out so I could see more of these characters and their relationships (hopefully its just light hearted stories and not more drama since the last 2 seasons were so heavy hearted as is). But after watching this video and other analysis videos about the show, Its not really a rom com or best girl wars. Its a show about 3 characters coming true with themselves and their feelings and love is a major aspect of it. The 3 seasons werent developed to see who Hachiman would end up with but rather how all 3 characters would develop from their own internal problems and the finale did just that. A great conclusion solving the main conflict of the series, and even if Shin doesnt pan out the way I would have wanted to, I still am now satisfied with the show and the ending. (Although I would still love a light hearted ova about the characters.) Also a question, is there extra content in the light novels that the anime did not show and is it worth reading all of it even if I watched the anime.
Ideally codependency should evolve into interdependency. Rely on and get relied on by a healthy mix of people. Also Sensei best girl XD. What's your top 5 anime btw? For me it's: Seishun Buta Yarou Re:Zero Mob Psycho Psycho Pass (sorry only got these 4 off the top of my head for now)
I loved the show but I wish instead of leaving things like that, they should’ve cut one side and made it obvious that these to are together deal rather those to were yui and him or yukino and him
I just want happy life every for character in the anime it makes me happy that they have someone for their side where ML accept both the girls or write gives second ML for the girl left behind its because it felt pain somewhere he left why? for some fan s like me and some of you to
Hachiman, the guy who was sent to detention to rethink his negative life only to rizzed up the hottest girl in school. I totally agreed with you about the chemicals between the 3. Normally people would think Yui was a better choice since she's the perfect sunshine warm hearted girl, but that's only because you think with the mindset of a normal guy. Hachiman is not a normal guy, he's unique, his logic is not that of the norm, his character does not fit well with Yui and rather feels like it's being forced. How is it forced ? Just rewatch any scene between Yui and Hachiman, it's always Yui dragging Hachiman here and there, forcing him to become socialized when in fact he's not the social type, hence why he's always reluctant to do things when Yui is alone with him. Conversations between them is usually non-progressive as Yui doesn't have a clue what he's talking about most of the time (like us viewers having a hard time understanding his logic mumbo jumbo). Yukino on the other hand complimented him very well, they never forced each other to do anything as their interactions are genuine. Whenever Hachiman opens with mouth to blab about nonsensical things, Yukino would not only instantly understand it but also retaliate with immediate punchlines that vibes along with Hachiman's way of chatting. They were born as 2 of a kind. Normally when you are a nerd and you have nerd friends, you would want a energetic girlfriend as opposite sides attracted each other. But that's not the case for Hachiman, he does have any philosophical friends that vibes with him (zaikumo is just crazy). So Yukino not only acted as his girlfriend but also his best friend in terms of his mindset PS: Who am I kidding, Yui lost simply because of the curse of the short haired girl
Bro I get season two… why did yui and Yukino give each other that weird look and stuff I’m so confused…….. like Haruna came up to them and say some stuff but I don’t quite understand someone please explain.
Spoilers..... My problem is that "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax! OVA" basically undoes the ending of season 3 with having Yui confess her love to Hikigaya basically countering Yukino confession in episode 12. Now it's a love triangle again....
Anyone else want Hachiman to reject both of them and end up with Totsuka and both Yui and Yukino became lesbians and started dating each other. idk I felt like that would have been interesting. Those moments were the best to me TTmTT. Hachiman said he would protect that smile and Yui said she like Yukino (even tho she meant it as a friend), I would have liked it to take that ending instead 😭. Sorry for those who don't agree and think a lot differently than me. I like how it ended up being and it was really nice really peaceful and calming, that's all I have to say.
Are you Hina Ebina or smthing ? 😂😂😂😂 Don't worry even Hachiman see Yui And Yukino as Yuri. But Hachiman, also gave up on Totsuka,he already see him as a boy. Totsuka doesn't like being called as a girl too.
The ending was satisfying, and going to miss this series.

A great conclusion solving the main conflict of the series, and even if Shin doesnt pan out the way I would have wanted to, I still am now satisfied with the show and the ending. (Although I would still love a light hearted ova about the characters.)
Also a question, is there extra content in the light novels that the anime did not show and is it worth reading all of it even if I watched the anime.

Ideally codependency should evolve into interdependency. Rely on and get relied on by a healthy mix of people.
Also Sensei best girl XD.

I loved the show but I wish instead of leaving things like that, they should’ve cut one side and made it obvious that these to are together deal rather those to were yui and him or yukino and him

So Yukino not only acted as his girlfriend but also his best friend in terms of his mindset
PS: Who am I kidding, Yui lost simply because of the curse of the short haired girl
Well for Yui fans there is always the VN

Don't worry even Hachiman see Yui And Yukino as Yuri.
But Hachiman, also gave up on Totsuka,he already see him as a boy.
Totsuka doesn't like being called as a girl too.
good review, enjoyed it
