Happy Anniversary to you both. Although he’s now gone from you, I hope that you can transform that special day into something more thankful and grateful, because your heart and your soul needs to celebrate the positives of something so profoundly awful. My love to you having to struggle through this event.
Your wife still with you, deep in your dreams, memories and thoughts. Let her memory be the spark of the rest of your life, live like she would've loved you to. Remember, you're loved appreciated and needed by a lot of people and we need you shinning ! Love you, keep moving forward. Don't look back for her, look up. Live love and die, there's no better way to go than know you loved and you were loved, I'm sure your wife felt that way.
I saw this band with my friend. I remember him looking back at me with excitement when this, our favorite song, came on. Eight months later, when we were both seventeen, he died. The song says so much more to me now. Rivers and roads till I reach you, Noah
I’m sorry for your loss ❤ just discovered this song today! It’s fantastic and I didn’t even think of it as a sad song until I read the many TH-cam comments of people relating it to the death of a loved one.
This song makes me think of my best friend to much... he drowned in a river... makes me break down everytime. R.I.P. Josh Osborn Ten year anniversary today and hes still teaching me lessons from above. ❤️ Love you brother bear. ❤️
I remember when this song was playing in the background of that scene of HIMYM when Ted told Robin he loves her [again], and when Schmidt proposed to Cece. Sometimes I don't get how a song that it's sad for me can be the best choice to play in happy scenes.
Funny enough, a couple comments down, someone said they saw this song written on a wall somewhere and it brought them here to their now favorite song. You did the world a service ❤️
I'm 59...lost a sister and both parents over the last couple years. Now as a single dad, my amazing daughter moved out this year and my talented son started college this fall. I've been listening to this a lot as well. Friends and great music... that's all I need.
I LOVE when the camera zooms in on the movement of their feet. It's a very important viewing because the way they dance reflects the true emotion that resides in their souls, bodies and minds and pours out of the soles of their sun-kissed, musical feet.
This song is probably one of my all time favorite songs. When nothing is going right in my life I listen to this song and it bring me home. My mom lives eight hours away, she just moved and so I haven’t seen her in a while now. This song means the world to me. I can’t help but cry every time I hear it. I feel so close to God every time I hear it even if I feel so far away from Him. Thanks so much for creating something so beautiful. Much love.
This is my first time listening to this song and I didn’t cry until I read your comment. I’m a senior in college and am considering moving away after graduation. But I need to thank you because although it made me emotional it gives me comfort. I hope all is well for your mom and you!

I just discovered Chuck this year, binged it with my SO. We just finished a couple days ago, and I had to come find this song to add to a playlist. It was a great show - it matured so well over its 5 seasons. The first few episodes, I wasn’t sure I’d stick with it. Glad I did.
I haven’t heard this song since last spring. I was depressed and devastated to be in a different state for college far from home until I made a best friend. I remember he started playing this song while we were driving in a empty freeway. Although we don’t talk anymore. He brought light into the darkness. Hope he’s okay.
I found this written into the wall of the counselor room at the camp I worked at the past two summers. Took me until now to actually look up what it meant and I’m so glad I did.
I love the girl's voice. It's so earthy and real and not contrived-sounding like so many female pop artists these days. I would kill to sing that well. Beautiful.
I used to sit and play this song on my ukulele in my best friends living room. Literally a year later I moved to Oregon, the following year she moved to Pennsylvania. Looking back, it was very much foreshadowing in real life. This song hits even harder now because of this. This song had resonated with me so much it's not even funny.
this song has been through more with me than most of my friends and family have. Through graduations, heartache, falling outs, breakups, failures. I will never not feel deeply connected to this song.
Just finished chuck for the first time, and this song is amazing. We grew a friendship with Chuck, and his love for others. This song represents friendship but as we stop watching the show, we part ways with this friendship.

There's something so magical about this version of the song and the atmosphere of the lake they played this at. I always come back to it and every single time I hear it, it's like the first. I love this band so much.
"I love that song. I love playing that song." - Jon It's great to see a band that is not only talented, they genuinely love making and playing music for themselves, not for money or fame.
Four years ago I was graduating from high school and this song helped me to understand all the changes plaguing me. Now I’m graduating from college, crawling into adulthood. The song feels even more different now. And as the video opens on the water and opens up to all of these people, I feel the weight of life so different. Life is so beautiful, scary, hard, marvelous, all at once. And change is necessary for growth. I’ll still miss your face though.
Been listening to this song on repeat for days now. It's been 3 yrs since I've moved from home and I miss my family like hell. Rivers and roads til I reach them 😢
When I go on TH-cam as a musician I see horrible comments. But you people seem ok. I love you all. Know you are all special to me. Thank you for commenting on lovely music. Love to all. Peace to all. Success and get up from ur failures like I do. Take care
My dads best friend was buried today. Its made me try harder in my friendships. One of my few remaining friends from my hometown has now announced theyre moving to the other side of the country. I'm gutted but this song always comforts me.
I see that I'm 8 years late responding to this. I first watched this particular video 6 or 7 years ago. I would say that this absolutely is music for the soul. I must disagree with the latter part of your comment however. If someone doesn't like this then they may be at odds with themselves, they may dislike the genre, or possibly they don't like how vulnerable it makes them feel. All of these possibilities make it very apparent that even though they may not like this song, they absolutely still have souls. And we are all here to back them up and allow them to love what they love and dislike what they dislike. No disrespect intended, merely a difference in viewpoints. Hope you can be understanding of how I view the situation :)
Signs of LIght was a blessing but without Josiah they've moved away from these soul-shattering performances. I still love them and I still miss Josiah. Thank you to all of THATH. You are loved and appreciated.
This song makes me realize every time that things and friendships can change so quickly, drift apart… I know it’s part of the process of growing and maturing but still with my fresh 20 years I am not quite ready to accept a complete change even if it might be for the better.
What I love most about this video is the way the guitarist looks at the female singer. Just his slight smile and the way that he focuses on her and no one else is simply beautiful. You can feel the energy between them. It’s almost like it’s just him and her there and no one else and you can feel their connection. Whether they are just friends and band mates or romantically involved, I find it is powerful and inspiring. Music brings people together in the most beautiful and intimate way possible
First time heard this song, late at 2:30 midnight, back then i was in college. Now way over, hearing this makes me remember so many things changed till date. As if i need to cross many rivers and roads to go back and meet up with my old self.

My wife just finished watching CHUCK for the second time! Wow...We had forgotten how it all ended up. But that song at the end of a great series...just says it all👍👍 Maybe 10 years from now, we will watch it again.
This song has soo many layers to it, and has so many thoughts, meanings, memories within it. Some of you are saying a loved one (friend or family member) who has passed away. With me its "that", and also I have grown children who all (as the song states) 'everyones moved somewhere else'. (much like the song states), and his voice comes out frustration and sadness. Rivers & Roads, meaning to me, means we probably won't see each other anymore in life, but (maybe) we'll meet in afterlife.
This song makes me think of my best friend that died early this year. I first heard this song on New Girl and knew I had to find it, and I found another great band to listen to. You guys are amazing. i love your vibes.
I moved to a different state when my son started college. I would send this to him with a smile and think about when we'd next see each other (I'd come back once a year for his birthday). He reached out 4 days ago, begging for help. He has become addicted to opiates.. He is now in detox. I can't stop listening to this song.
They are so amazingly beautiful. They are moving in their own way to a different beat, but some how so insync. You can really tell this song meant something to each one of them. My heart aches with longing listening to this song.

Couldn't agree more, this is true passion for music in this video.
Love The Head and The Heart. ❤️
Such an awesome song! I've been listening to this for 2 straight days. Incredible. A gift from God.
I heard this on a random Playlist last year and couldn't find it again. It Found Me..SAVED

They're amazing live. Front row was such an awesome experience. Will always love them.
Cant wait to see these guys! I am a gurl born a few days after the original Woodstock. I am a free spirit who wishes peace and love to all
They are so amazingly beautiful. They are moving in their own way to a different beat, but some how so insync. You can really tell this song meant something to each one of them. My heart aches with longing listening to this song.
This is now and always will be a favorite song of mine. It brings me tears every time I hear it. Yes, I can definitely relate.
