- Hey thanks for checking out my reaction to Kayle & Morgana. Late in the shooting/editing process, I realized I forgot to include my reaction to their theme. So, unfortunately that is not included in this reaction. I did really enjoy hearing the Winged protectors story though, and hope we get more of them in the future in terms of lore or an event!

One of my favorite things about Kayle is how her lines change depending on her level. She starts of sounding kind of insecure, but as she ascends she gets more and more resolute, and finally ends up ranting about divine fire and purging evil like a zealot. It really shows how she's losing her mortal sensibilities.
To be fair Morgana & Kayle's Mother entrusted Kayle with far to much responsability.
Kayle feel she needs to be unflinching or the world is doomed. If you take runeterra's line of kayle she's not as lost to justice as she seems.
But is the last blade of humanity & if she fall it's over.

When Garen ults he is calling for Justice. Kayle hears his call and Smites the unjust before him. That big Sword is from Kayle.
You can see Kayle truly loves Morgana when Kayle says "This world did not deserve you"

Kayle and Morgana both share the title of Aspect of Justice. However, the justice they represent is different. Kayle's is punitive, Morgana's is redemptive.
Well I would say kayle justice is blind and morgana justice is naive
They both have their flaws and only together they represent TRUE justice
When Riot decided to rework Kayle's gameplay and visual, they have rework Morgana visual too for their lore. And Morgana is with Kayle, one of the first 16 champions from LoL and they didn't make any champion spotlight when the game released.

I can't help but imagine Morgana watching Sylas cause rampage around Demacia and chuckling, thinking they deserved that and that she'll let Kayle deal with Sylas. Even though in Mage seeker, Morgana seems to be helping Sylas. That said Morgana, Sylas, Rakan and Kai'ss are the only champions who's voice lines that I actively pay attention to while playing
Im really enjoying these character lore videos you are making, they have increased in quality so much from when you first started doing League reactions, im even learning some new stuff myself due to the character wiki page you include, its nice, you did a good job.
The only thing that i regret is that most of your early reactions were done on some of the most interesting characters (like Aatrox, Swain, Pantheon, Jhin for example) and they didnt include all of this extra stuff like champion music themes, wiki, relations, short story reads etc. Which is a real shame as they have some of the best lore imho - especially the extra stories that are written beside the character biographies/introduction, perhaps one day if you run out of new things to react to you could revisit the older reactions in more detail, i would certainly watch it :P
It's true! I really need to go back and take a deeper look at them as a part 2 to those characters. Thank you for the kind words and this motivates me even more to go back and dive deeper.

for when/if you return to Aatrox i would suggest reading his bio and extended story that goes with it (what you are doing rn basically) as its quite sad, as well as Legends of Runeterra Aatrox interactions to see how he behaves around his fellow darkin more.
for when/if you return to Swain i would recommend his champion music theme, and besides his bio and extended bio which would answer your question about Raum, i would 100% fully recommend you read the story " Principles of Strength " - its straight up something out of game of thrones and is one of my favorites , and if you are interested what Swain is actually doing in Noxus as a ruler the story " Proclamation of the Trifarix " covers that very very well.
Aatrox has new lore reagrding Xolaani and their battle near mount targon ...so one reason more to revisit aatrox and the new dakin voicelines in Legends of Runeterra. man i would even wacth if u react a second time to aatrox voicelines .. just to see diffrence with all the lore knowelegde u have now.
That black aether skin version is the same skin, it just changes color when ascended.
They both are old champions, but Kayle got a rework. That's why you couldn't find a champion spotlight for Morgana.
For reworked champions in the wiki you'll find some sections with their old lore. Kayle for example was the Judicator before her rework. Galio was just a Gargoyle. Etc.
Would love to watch you reacting to the comic. I really enjoy reactors exploring the lore and going beyond just videos.
Morgana got a visual rework, but her abilities stayed the same which is why she doesn't have a new spotlight. Kayle got a rework on both
The champion spotlights are filled with puns related to the charcter but some are less obvious than others. One made in Kayles was "Just as(Justice) she planned"
Katarina and Cassiopeia are sisters. Nasus and Renekton are brothers. Kassadin is Kai'sa's father.
Morgana is indeed the best, I do so enjoy Kayle, ironically, because of her many flaws

as much as Kayle's design and utter hubris is so beautiful to me, Morgana is my favorite. gameplay wise and personality wise Morgana is just such a beautiful well rounded champion. but Kayla still is my favorite cuz she's so divine and reminds me more of a renaissance angel archetype.
You should install legends of Runeterra. Their mom is a card so you can see what she looks like now

In game kayle is one of the best hyper scalers, bad early game but one of the best top laners late game since she attacks so fast with so much lifesteal.
Morgana has some of the most cc in the game(matched by amumu and leona), she is a top tier support since she also gives cc immunity.

LeBlanc have her clones, not twin. She can look like every one, clone herself and make clones to replace people. Definitely every person can be LeBlanc.

Kayle is stronger than Morgana but only because she's losing herself to her power. Morgana's strength is tied to her love of life and humanity, while Kayle's comes from her undying loyalty to the Celestials and her cause.
I’d love to see you react to milio as he’s brand new. Tht’d be a shorter video tho since there’s not that much content. Otherwise I’d reccomend belveth! She’s got a dope animation thats a good enteance to void lore and has kaisa in it too

You have to watch Who is Mihira by Necrit it explains more about Kayle after you watch the Video of Xolaani the Darkin.
Just go play League if you want to. The ik everyone crys about the players etc but to be honest we still play the game and you wont ever get why its that popular without ever expericening it yourself 🤷🏼♂️😁

Stealing this comment from another Kayle/Morgana reaction that really sums up my thoughts on them very well:
"Here are the (3) reasons why I love Morgana as a character but always choose Kayle over her.
(1) During the Battle of Zeffira, Kayle was bloodied and wounded fighting on the frontlines, she cried out to Morgana for help but instead of helping her she ignored kayles cries and went to help the people in the city instead.
- To be fair Kayle did not know that the enemies slipped into the city but Morgana choosing people she doesn't even know over her sister's life is kinda crazy to me. This event was the one that made Kayle lose trust in Morgana.
(2) Kayle's followers the Judicators hated Kayle's softness towards Morgana, Ronas who is Kayle's disciple decided to (arrest) Morgana and her followers for the evil crimes they committed, Morgana shackled Ronas and burned him to death.
- Morgana is able to bind people in chains without hurting them yet she decided to kill him to kill a Cop/Judicator because she believes the criminals who follow her can all be rehabilitated and don't need jail time.
- And when the people started rioting, Morgana disappears and doesn't stop the Riot. Kayle comes back to find Rona's burnt corpse and people Rioting, she was consumed by rage and turns the city upside down.
- Then Morgana shows up, flies to the skies, and starts fighting Kayle, not explaining anything to her or trying to calm her down, and when their father died because of their irresponsible battle.
- Kayle acknowledges that her emotions got her father killed so she left for Mount Targon to rid herself of her weakness and find her mother but Morgana, on the other hand, goes on a tangent and completely blames Kayle and takes no responsibility.
(3) As you saw in the interaction Morgana believes Kayle's way of doing things is wrong because true justice needs compassion and that her way of doing things is better. Kayle has gone to the celestial realm, this is the perfect time for Morgana to show a better way for Demacia through her actions but she decided to spend hundreds of years in a forest doing nothing but waiting for Kayle to return.
- Noxus Expansion happened she did nothing.
- Noxian Invasion (of Demacia) happened she did nothing.
- The Anti-Mage policy happened she did nothing.
- The Mage Oppressed happened she did nothing.
- Sylas's Mage Rebellion happened she did nothing.
- Demacian Meltridge Turmoil happened she did nothing.
- Sylas Betrayal & Alliance with Freljord happened she did nothing. (Edit: Sylas's new game will have Morgana in it so there's probably more lore here soon™)
- Viego's Ruination Reached Demacian and she still did nothing.
I think Morgana is lazy, jealous, hateful and a hypocrite, I can't wait for Kayle to return from the Celestial Realm/Targon Prime she's gonna be overpowered and things will finally change."
In Legends of Runeterra card game, Kayle and her mother Mihira, the ACTUAL FKING ASPECT OF JUSTICE, come down to try and destroy Aatrox and Xolaani (very important character who's not a champion but this text is already very long). Them fighting each other was (or would be) potentially world ending enough for the celestial gods to come down and intervene so the world isn't destroyed. Also Ryze shows up to help and is apparently an old friend of Kayle's.
For some more context, Kayle would take the biblical approach to a thief. Cut off the hand that stole something and pay back the damages. Morgana would do some soul magic and make the thief 'viscerally' feel the pain his actions brought others in a forced empathy sort of way. And then let the thief go... and then be sad when the thief steals from someone else. Scale crime accordingly.

Nah, Morgana is more fun to play actually, Kayle is only fun to play in late game, she needs to have full build and be lvl 16 to do something

Man idk if its just me, but every time i watch a reaction to Kayle and Morganas story im always disappointed that Riot was so close to writing a truly great story - i always felt like they needed to make it less obvious that Morgana was the "good" sister and imo it was as easy as writing a story where she would forgive someone who did unspeakable crimes or perhaps she would forgive someone for their crimes only for them to reoffend again, but maybe its just me, i just feel like making Kayle the obvious misguided sister is just kinda meh.
On that note the only thing that makes Kayle look better imo is that Kayle actually uses her powers to do big things (supposedly she is doing stuff in the celestial realms, even tho we know very little of what she is doing) while Morgana is wasting the opportunity her powers give her and is just chilling in a forest for centuries. At least Kayle wants to do something "good" you know?
With the Mageseeker game coming and Morgana being hinted at having a big role, I'm hoping they show that even she can go to extremes but on the opposite side of things.

I dont wanna be pessimistic but Riots writing has been very hit and miss lately to say the least, but things can definitely change at any point tho so who knows - especially considering its one of their smaller subsidieries who is making the game anything is possible.
The unfortunate issue when it comes to good story writing is they chose a bad theme.
Looking at all studies and crime statistics rehabilitative justice is just factually better than punitive justice. It has a significantly lower rate of re offence and actually respects the human rights and dignity of criminals

@@FallenGranny there is a lot more to restorative justice than "setting the bail to 0" and half measures always make things worse. Nothing anywhere in America can be even close to being considered restorative.
