hello madokon, you are the only one who cares about teaching an engineer to fortify without damaging the visibility and the game of his teammates and that is very good ...
Playing with random engineers can be really frustrating. Engineers who play on lower difficulty levels and try incon/master can get the base overrun quickly with one fence and massive amounts of turrets. When I play engi, so annoying for people to upgrade to laser fences in early game. They don't understand it takes too much power to constantly fix them. Buying stuff is also a no no. Lockers don't get over clock (unless I cut them off and do last upgrade) or discounts. Lol, done with rant.
Level 1 = caltrops, spikes Level 2 = barbed wire Level 3 = blue laser Level 4 = red laser I pretty much stick to mainly level 1 & 2 barriers since they're cheaper to build and repair and take less damage than level 3s or 4s. They are far more effective than level 3 or 4 barriers. Barrier health increases as you level up the barrier as well.

Thank you. :)
Solid tips right here. Thank you! These would have taken me hours to learn by myself.
You're welcome.
Great to learn about vertical barriers
Awesome.

Ya it can sometimes be frustrating playing with certain random players, I completely understand where you're coming from.
mechanics can get a pass because of their discount ability though
lol i wish everyone could see this and actually listen to what he’s saying
Thanks. :)
As someone starting out as an engineer, should I start as a Mechanic or a Robotics guy?
Mechanic is probably better to level up first, but you'll still want to also get Robotics Engineer leveled up.
Every noob needs to see this.
Lol thanks, heh.
Robotics engineer with headshot heals, doesn't do the taps but everything else and let's you play more.
Yes, it'd be great if it did repair taps as well.
Thanks for the guide.
You're welcome.
Upgrade locker to level 4 before getting another one. Thanks
You're correct on that on that one.
Cheaper to buy 2 than first upgrade

Level 2 doesn’t recharge ammo nearly as quick as a 4. Go back to school
@@floridafan561 they don't teach them like that anymore...
what's the difference between the different levels of barriers?
Level 1 = caltrops, spikes
Level 2 = barbed wire
Level 3 = blue laser
Level 4 = red laser

Use level 3 or 4 only as the last lines of defense.
