  • The Toronto Guitar Festival 1987 is presented as a TV documentary, filmed and edited in "patchwork" style so viewers can partake in the shared passion around the instrument. The Toronto Festival was one the first large event to feature some legends of the Guitar, of ALL styles, all in one roof, coming together to connect, play and jam.
    Some of the greats of Guitar include: John Williams, Leo Brouwer, Steve Morse, Eli Kassner and many more

    Wow, does this take me back!! I studied with Eli Kassner through the entire 1980s, from high school on through undergrad at U of T. Eli would always have visiting artists stay at his house, where he also taught. Often, going to my lesson also involved meeting his special guests. At the same time, Rik Emmett lived a short distance from my home, and through him I met Steve Morse. I'd heard of this film, but this was my first time to actually see it. Thanks for posting it!
