I received a message from @SirensofOntario informing me that the Breslau FD would conduct a test today. I decided to go see the siren, as I hadn't seen it since the 2023 CAER tests. It's clear that the siren is in need of repairs to its rotator mechanism as it's not rotating properly. Over the past year or two, it has been intermittently rotating, indicating a potential issue with the spur gear. I suspect that the gear may have some missing teeth, possibly due to attempts to run the siren in winter when it was frozen by ice or snow. As for its location, I believe the township should consider relocating the siren further into Breslau to improve its effectiveness. The current placement at the bottom of Breslau in a valley-like area seems to limit its range, as most of the sound is directed towards the hill and doesn't reach all of Breslau as it should. I estimate that the current location effectively reduces the siren's range by half.

Testing: Bi-weekly on Mondays at 7 PM I believe.
