Could one of the reasons that myostatin deficiency does not prevail in nature be because although the animals are more muscular and may therefore be able to obtain more food than normal animals, their food intake requirement, to fully supply those muscles, is even higher than that so that the animals just end up starving to death even though they eat more than normal animals?
Simply working out with weights will prevent and/or reverse the effects of muscle atrophy. I am 57 yrs old, and I lift naturally with a very good diet of non processed foods. 20 yr olds ask me for advice on gaining muscle. I am now experimenting with natural foods that inhibit myostatin and increase follistatin. I have already, through nutrition, dramatically increased my natural production of testosterone without the side effects of increased estrogens. I believe in using proper nutrition to increase health and muscle size; not injections and unnatural ingestions of the isolated substances. Much of what we ingest today is counterproductive to health and counter a physically appeasing body. Many of us are not even aware of the many things we ingest that are bad fore our health. Poor health gives us low testosterone, high estrogen, and higher myostatin levels. Even the type of exercise and the duration of exercise is critical to proper health and muscle growth or muscle preservation.
@@jocaingles8464 I don’t work out rn but last time I think I added 50lb of strength in my bench in one month .. I don’t have the discipline to work out long term. If I did I’d be a beast in one year. Let alone I’ll be pretty big already by 2-3 months
@@joshuaarevalo1515 I wasn't notified of the results but I'm 46 yrs old 5' 9 ,200 lbs, if I want to bulk up I can gain 15 pounds in probably 6 weeks, I can starve for a week and lose maybe 5 lbs. My dad is 80yrs old and at 5'7 weighs 190 not fat.
@@jolee2433 I think I might have it cause my dad said I was a baby with a lot of muscle, and I have always have had very strong leg muscles , like my calf’s are really big and my legs are big, I started working 8 months ago and got 15 inch arms and I notice really fast muscle growth.does this mean I have it?
@@joshuaarevalo1515 there are definitely degrees I feel like anything else. I'm not sure if extra muscle from myostatin deficiency is correlated with strength as well. You might def have a degree of deficiency, I was 200lbs as a freshman in high school bench pressed 245. By senior year I was squatting 495 for 5 reps 2 to 3 times a week.college bench 315x10. squat 585x5 I did javelin hammer at University of Alabama, my little brother played football at Indiana University. Keep working out no matter if you have it or not!
