She definitely has a unique and unorthodox way of cutting but she does know what she does, and the result is beautiful. She had me worried halfway through but she pulled it off. Love how she did the side layers. Yes, she's improvising but it looks like she had a specific shape in mind, very 60s.

I also have ultra thick hair and cannot find a hairdresser brave enough to do what this lady has done. I ask for layering and then come home and do exactly what she is doing with her thinning shears. My hairdresser " thins and texturizes" my hair but it's not enough. It's refreshing to see someone with an eye for shaping thick hair.

Actually, and I hate to play devils advocate here, but as a stylist myself, I can say that this lady clearly does know what she is doing. And she does it rather well. She definitely doesn't section the hair in the traditional sense, however, she did make certain to leave out her perimeter so that she wouldn't cut into her base line. From there, all the pushing the hair towards her face was in order to direct the hair to fall towards the face. She used the texturizing sheers quite a lot throughout in order to remove heavy lines and bulk from the hair and create a softened weightless effect. There did end up being a couple of spots that needed to be texturized a bit more, as I saw a couple of heavy spots, but I assume she merely didnt see them. I think everyone thinks it was a bad cut because she seemingly wasn't methodical, however she definitely was. Just not in the traditional sense. While I am not personally a huge fan of the shag haircut, it is incredibly in style at the moment and the weightlessness and absence of heavy lines does lighten her up and infuse youth into her look. I think she did a great job and it did suit her I do believe. Things aren't always what they seem. And there are many different ways to make it from a to b. Her simply not doing her section quad and sectioning off the hair the hair the way it is typically seen done, is not a reason to berate this lady. She is a true artist. That is clear. She isn't cutting hair for a job at all.
@@jaynekittycat9252 she disconnects every cut I never know what she is going to do next never a proper section or a connection with front and back it's like she just picks up the scissors haks pieces of hair off then it changes with every snip and those thinners she would actually be better using a razor as it would be better than her point cutting and done correctly can add softer or a jagged piecy short part to a Pixy I try not to over think her techniques I get a sore head she uses every technique going and does it badly and you get people saying it beautiful work they're obviously not professionals as it's never done with any structure or thought or skills behind the end result

She thinks, now if i just pick up this section of hair, cut it like this or that way, hopefully it will fall into place. I dread to think when these clients wash there hair afterwards how there going to manage the style. Did you see the big gap on the right near her fringe. These clients need there heads examining if they think this woman is good.
Find that it’s cut too heavy in the front. I would like it to be lighter and shorter. It wouldn’t look good after you wash it a few times. The stylist isn’t a stylist at all. She just continued to hack away at the hair wherever she felt like it. I’d cry if that was my hair.
Very choppy. She makes me nervous because I can't stop her, she just hacks away until she feels she's got it looking reasonable, no training I'd say. Women, why do you go there.
