Fun tip: look at yard sales and flea markets all summer long for Christmas decorations! I got some amazing outdoor decorations for a great price👍🏻 My favorite cookies are M&M cookies
Love this series!! Can you please do a video of decorating after the holidays? Maybe like a general winter theme. I always feel like my apt isnt as cozy once the holiday decor is gone
I actually prefer plastic ornaments especially because of the kids. Growing up our tree always had glass ornaments and when they broke mama was mad lol
Another fun thing to do for cheap decor is to DIY some ornaments using recycled cardboard! If you're not much of an artist, look on Pinterest and pick easy projects, make it a craft party with girlfriends! Last year I made little deer head ornaments for my tree and recycled some ribbon from the packaging of my ornaments to give my tree some extra touches! Also used old christmas cards or wrapper to put in frames to hang all around, it's a great way to add festive touches without spending a coin!
I want to pick up a bunch of those clear glass ornaments, but if the clear plastic ones are nice they'll work & no worry about glass on the floor, esp in the new carpeting in our living room. With the kids grown & our only grandchild being a young teenager, we were finally able to choose a light color in a much higher end quality. Our last wall to wall carpet purchase & install for the entire house was more than two decades ago. That carpeting took a major beating with 2 kids from diapers to adulthood, 2 goldadors, 3 cats (2 Siamese but not purebred; they were rescues), an elderly rescued parrot who lived out her final years w/us & free of the torment of 5 small children w/no parental supervision, along with a couple hermit crabs, 2 hamsters, a few betta fish, and even an aquarium of sea monkeys... having something we can enjoy in middle-age is long overdue. If all goes well, plank laminate in the foyer & hall is next followed by the kitchen flooring which is original the house & the house was built in the late 60s. LOL! The new paint on the walls with some updated flooring that's being done piecemeal since we are going with higher quality, I would love to enjoy a Christmas where we can enjoy this next phase in our life. With all the remodeling, a DIY Christmas is all I can afford and even then it won't be much b/c there's not much left afterward. Particularly so when you have a child away at college & this is our second, technically our third b/c I raised a sibling as a single mom until I finally married a few yrs before high school graduation. My favorite decorating style is Victorian & elegant. I've always used white lights only & rather than red, I've always insisted on Old-World Christmas burgundy wine. I do have some beautiful fabric like ornaments I picked up somewhere along the line, followed a clear glass icicles with gold hangers, etc... I'd love to get the clear glass or plastic ornaments, perhaps in teardrop shape, & add in white feathers & then use those deco pens if adding any designs or wring to the outside. I think it'd look beautiful against small white tree lights w/the gold & silver strands of beaded garland (shiny gold & silver) along with a beautiful strand of beads in matte Old-World Christmas burgundy wine that a favorite aunt sent me for decoration some years after I'd moved to the east coast from the bayou area (parish south of New Orleans). It was her way of sending some Creole Cajun love my way. She passed some years ago after battling cancer. The garland beads came w/crush velvet bags to store them in so as to prevent damage & dulling between seasons. They can still set off a beautiful look. 🎄
I really like your content, but I took 6 minutes!!! to get to the topic of the video - the Christmas decor. I wish the Fab fit fun content could have been a separate video because it felt very off topic and time consuming. I would watch more videos if they didn't go off on tangents and people search for fab fit fun so your content might get missed. Maybe include it in the title next time?? Cute decor ideas though :)
I actually purchase Christmas decor items from goodwill all year long and stash them in a closet. The goodwill stores in my area stock items for all different holidays all year. Also, if you want to get the cutest Christmas items (especially signs) from dollar tree, it is best to start shopping in October.
I have a few pieces of winter decor that I got from a thrift store a few years ago. Its always fun to see what they have. I wish I had a better eye when looking at things and how just spray paint can help.
My favorite Christmas cookie it's called "Snow White". It's made out of 4 thin soft white cookie sheet and 2 or 3 layers of lemon zest and vanilla cream and it's toped of with fine coconut flakes.
Thrifting is so much fun, it's like treasure hunting! A few weeks ago I found a vase made from a solid wood trunk by a local artist... in 1976! It's signed and all. Even at the thrift store it was 15$, imagine how much that thing is worth...! To me it was a priceless find anyways, and I looove seeing what home decor other people find at the thrift shop!
If you cannot find white books, easy solution is to use white chalk paint and make it white. You can stack three together, tie with twine and add a sprig of greenery. Favourite cookie is a chocolate molasses cookie.
I live directly next door to a Salvation Army. I love thrifting !! And there's a cute local one just a few minutes up the road from me. I'm lucky. I love this type of video !!! You really have to go to the thrift store - even dollars stores - often to find good things. Just hit or miss
I love buying things at Dollar Tree and Goodwill for my home decor. You should do more of these kinds of videos. It’s budget friendly and buying things secondhand is more eco-friendly. 💗
My favourite christmas cookies are 'snowballs'. They're a no-bake cookie full of chocolate and coconut and then rolled in coconut. They're traditional from where I'm from: Newfoundland, Canada. Recipe is: Combine 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/4 cup butter in a medium saucepan, boil 3-4 minutes, set aside and let cool. To the cooled saucepan, add 2 tbsp cocoa, 2 cups rolled oats, 1 cut shredded coconut, and 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix thoroughly. Add more coconut if it seems too wet (1/4-1/2 cup more). Roll into balls, then roll in shredded coconut. Store in the fridge until ready to eat. (They're also delicious right out of the freezer.) Nice and easy cookie to make with kids and super easy to double or triple the recipe as needed. So good!
Loved the video!! My favorite tips are decorating with pictures from that holiday or season. Printing pictures are so cheap and you can just use an every day frame. Also I use neutral every day decor and just incorporate some seasonal decor for a festive feel. I do not have a ton of storage space and budget friendly. Oh and my favorite Christmas cookies are thumbprint cookies!
My favorite Christmas cookie is fruit pizza! It’s a sugar cookie topped with whipped cream with or without cream cheese mixed in and then decorated with fresh fruit! I love it so much! I don’t really like cookies so much, and prefer fruit as a desert so..... it’s a win for me!!
My favourite Christmas cookies, are the Voortman ones, store bought... I think they're sugar ones... it's been a long time since I've had them. I love that all the fabfitfun box items are cruelty free. I enjoyed this video... lots of good tips and ideas.
Awesome vlog! Great ideas. I purchase dollar store Ball ornaments to put in bowels and vases around my place. I do not use them on the tree as they do fall apart easily
Blanda sedan i ägg, socker, salt, anis bakpulver & mjöl. Låt degen jäsa i bunken ca 30 min. Knåda sedan degen smidig på mjölat bakbord. Dela degen i två delar. Kavla ut varje del till en rektangel. Skär den i ca 3 cm breda remsor. Dela sedan remsorna i ca 6 cm långa bitar. Skär några jack i varje bit. Servera ljumna doppade i socker. Thanks and you are so right I love decorating but I can't always afford the new pieces ... especially when your on a budget or live in a small space , witch I do . I just love your channel and I love the idea's you give . My favorite cookie is chocolate chip
my favourite cookie is the KOURABIE! I live in Greece, it is an almond based with a LOT of powdered sugar. another really good cookie here in greece is melomakarono, with a lot of sirouped honey
I have used frosted spray paint and a flake glitter to create a snowy look on Dollar Tree berries. The paint acts as somewhat of an adhesive. It is a little tricky but it does work. Also, you can cover any books with solid gift wrap to help it match your color scheme.
I had really good luck finding Christmas dishes at thrift stores - including 4 Pier 1 app dishes for $1.75, marked down 75%, so my final cost was 51 cents for 4 dishes that sell for $7 when new! - but I started looking in September, not November.
Not big on Christmas cookies here, but one treat that always screams Christmas to me are those After Eight little thin mint chocolates! Or old-fashioned donuts, if possible homemade!

It is much prettier, it smells fantastic and better for the environment.

Bianca Manriquez Thank you! Annoying that over a third of this is a commercial.
Bianca Manriquez omg thank you! Jeeze
Thank youuuuuuuu 😄😄
Thank you!
Yes, so many beautiful finds at Thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, 99 cent and Dollar Tree. I love Peffernusse Cookies.

I feel the same way. I think that would be a great idea.
I third this idea!! I feel like winter decor (non christmas-related) always gets ignored!

the house you bough at 8:00 is department 56 original snow village and it probably retails for about 100 bucks. AMAZING FIND

Chocolate crinkles are the best!
Favorite cookie: sandwich peanut butter between two Ritz crackers, cover in white chocolate and dust with sprinkles!
Peanut butter blossoms!! Peanut butter cookies with Hershey kiss in the middle!! Great vid!!
I like the way you showed the products in the box.

Thought I clicked on this for Xmas decor on a budget, not a damn ad

Hausfreunde=my favourite Christmas cookies. These are with Marzipan, dark chocolate and jam 😍
I really liked your fix a damaged ornament. Good content
I really love thrift stores. Can I request a thrift store haul for Christmas? Please.

Norwegian kringlas are our family's favorite Christmas cookies -our grandparents were Norwegian!
I’d have to say anything with chocolate and peppermint together 😊😋

I sometimes buy Christmas decor closer to Christmas or after. Sometimes they are a lot cheaper but you also risk having a smaller choice range.
I love the print of the cabin in the snow! Your channel makes me smile! 😘

Hygge is a quality of coziness that makes a person feel content and comfortable. It's also often used as an adjective meaning "cozy or comfortable."
Loved your video! It inspired me to not let my budget limit my decor. Thank you! ❤❤
Just love Christmas sugar cutout cookies, all decorated! So fun to make and eat. 🎄 ❤️
My favorite Christmas cookie is called anisgris, meaning anise pig. It's a fried sweet bun with aniseed spice. Only eaten in northern Sweden.

How does a FabFit box fit into a budget Christmas decorating video? I wish these youtubers would chill with the sponsorships.

Ashley agreeeeeed! I literally forwarded that entire section
Dutch cookie (like a cross between an almond shortbread and a ginger cookie). Think homemade windmill cookie.
Hey, what a great video! With what are you editing?
What does a FabFit box have to do with a buget Christmas? Absolutely nothing!
Where did you buy your flannel blouse?
Love your videos!!! I’m going to post my Christmas trees Dinning room and living room on Insta and tag you hope it works.
Our favorite cookies are sugar cookies with frosting. We have a family tradition we get together about 3 days before and we all roll, cut out, frost and sprinkle. It’s messy but so much fun we kind of have a contest who decorated the best.
It’s a very fun time in our house. 🎄🎅🏻
