I haven't had a bad Mountain House entrée. I lost my sense of smell due to COVID. I'd buy this MRE and enjoy it. Not a fan of the cranberries in general. But the rest of MRE is solid. Great and entertaining video as always.
If you guys wanna try something great. Drop the cranberries into the dry fruit flavored mix. Will change your life. Also I've never commented I love watching you guys. I know you guys get a lot of crap from some folks but you guys are great. Keep up the good work
Speaking of " mountain house " , I started buying more of those , ( 60 bucks a box of 13 ) , makes a pretty good emergency food stash . If y'all are wanting to try any of them , I could send you one ( or more ) , it has granola with blueberries and milk , biscuits and gravy , chili Mac , lasagna with meat sauce , and beef stroganoff . Let me know .
Yeah anything called "Oriental" is bound to be generic and not very good. You can't encompass an entire cuisine of a continent of the world in one dish. That'd be like making a plate of deep fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn and calling it North American food or some fried fish and chips and calling it European food. It wouldn't even represent USA cuisine accurately, never mind the entire continent of North America.
Lol my little collection consists of 2 Russian 24 hour Rats, a JDF, a Ukrainian because reasons... a Chinese special forces, part of a Spanish and part of a French 8 hour... (Both intercepted by customs and pilfered) and a complete French 24 hour. I opened up my other IRP ration and regretted it but did enjoy a taste test with a buddy who did 2 tours in Iraq in the Marines. He had a good take on the quality compared to ours. Idk. Oh yeah, a Lithuanian one as well. I was pissed those 2 got ransacked by Customs, I guess they didn't like the Duck in the NATO rat and the Deer meat in the French 8 hour. However pigeon was ok in the Russian rat. It's a crap shoot with Customs. So basically I got expensive crackers, peaches, and chocolate. I blame Steve1989MRE for starting all this... lol
@@talos9351 I had the old sealed ones when I was in. Never found the new ones all that hard to pull open. Especially the arctic ones, for whatever reason.
@@redwolfexr The new ones seem harder to pull open. Not all of them, but occasionally. But his wrist injury makes it hard for him to pull in that motion.

The reason these are " better" is because the food is always freeze dried.

That’s my biggest issue with freeze dried, the sodium levels are usually off the chart that when you get the right consistency it’s water food 😂

Always annoys me when people cut open those -- they are designed to pull open at the top.
He had a wrist injury. Plus, they're hard to pull open even under normal circumstances.

I'd cut them open even when they started with the pull apart packaging. Never struggled once to open my dinner
