That’s Gregg’s son. Dickey named his son Duane after Duane Allman died. Forrest Richard Betts (December 12, 1943 - April 18, 2024) 😢

Having known the Brothers from their Allman Joy days seeing this does my old heart a world of good. To see Dickey and Greg's sons playing music together....FANTASTIC! Not to take anything away from the rest of the killer musicians on stage.

My entire life has been shaped by Gregory's voice and The Allman Brothers' music since I first got the Beginnings album at the age of 14. I saw them at the Superdome with a crowd of 104,000 fans in 1975. It was the first rock concert in the famous venue and so much pot smoke was pumped out of the Dome's roof vents that pigeons were getting stoned and falling out of the sky around the building. I truly cannot imagine my life without the Allman Brothers Band. Fate put us here at the same time.

Bottom line. The Allman Bros. Band were the greatest ever in my book. Live at the Fillmore East, best live record ever. So glad I got to see Duane play twice before he died so young. Nothing can or ever will even come close to the Allman Brothers Band. R.I.P. Duane and Gregg. Part of me died with you guys but you live in my heart until the day I die.

Seen these two and this kick ass band in Asheville last night. Did not disappoint. Especially the last 5 songs were around 8-12 mins long. I wish y'all absolute success. The bass player is damn good

I'm from Macon Ga. The Brothers use to play and party in Central City Park in downtown Macon. My parents said back then everyone came and just party and listen free of charge before they started recording and touring. Gotta love it!!!

HD35MAN - Devon is 45 years old, and the others up there appear to be about the same age. I'm not sure what the legal definition of "kids" is, but I don't think these middle-age men meet it.

I was there in the beginning, when the Second Coming was playing at the Forum on Roosevelt Blvd and The Allman Joys were playing at the Comic Book Club on West Forsyth. I was also there when Duane joined the Second Coming and the band became the New Second Coming for a little while. Then Duane called Greg and told him to get to Jacksonville to join the band, I was at Dicky's house in North Jax the day Greg arrived. What a gathering. I remember watching the band practicing, on the dance floor of the Comic Book.Good luck to the Kids and the new band. Your folks would be proud. Also best wishes to Dickey and his recovery after his bad fall in the back yard.

I saw young Derek Trucks with the Allman Brothers in the 90s. Dickey and Derek Trucks we're in the band at that time. SUSAN TEDESCHI opened for the them.
Later on what a great marriage came to pass which produced such a wonderful band.
I saw that lineup few times and it was great. I also remember them bringing Derek out one show when he must of been 12 or 13 years old. The kid's a ripper.

I wish I could hear as good as some of these critics. I saw these guys in Bend Or. last night and they were smoking hot. Every song they did Was better than this one but you cant please everybody but I would like to see the expressions on these critics faces and check out the comments after watching some of their videos. I have been struggling with guitar for 40 + years and still wouldn't call myself a musician but I have fun and don't have to think I'm great and don't care and don't criticize. Well...... back to my life.

I got to see the boys play at the Norva in Norfolk Virginia! They were awesome! I actually saw an old hippy dude with a long white braid and beard push his walker away and started dancing when they played Jessica! It was fantastic!

Wal I am officially an OLD FART, at 60 I did see and semi-worship the originals; at 12, I was running around with a Coricidan bottle on my finger - no guitar yet, but my head was screwed on tight. And I think it's WONDERFUL that these "kids" (40 years old?)are approaching this as a new "American Classical" music. It's like a vote of recognition that our music DID mean something. Look at the repertoire of the Tedeschi/Trucks band - just a-DRIPPING Laylaisms*. I used to be sorta mad that "we boomers" kinda pigged out, taking ove ALL the radio stations... but damn this music's worth it.
And the humungous AAAA blowin's stars out yer ass and they smell like roses

Promising bunch of kids. When they begin to observe dynamics a bit more, their genetic talent may flourish. Otherwise, the guy with the red Les Paul/SG model, and the rolled up jeans and hat, is already good enough to have his own band, and I don't think he's a family member. His tone is just beautiful, and the microtones on the slide are dead on. I like Devon's stage presence.

Duane Betts lead solo was the smoothest and had the most feel. He like his father Dickey Betts knows where to put the right phrase at the right time,... it's not all about speed but is about the hittin' the note with feel and purpose so it says something that evokes emotion in the listener.

It looks great seeing Devon and Duane on stage together. Alot of times kids want to make it on their own without their fathers name, these two would not be able to hide from who they are. I don't think either of them are as aggressive on their instruments as their fathers were but they haven't had to be. Keep on rockin.
