Make an AM 80m transmitter:
testing a prototype Mixer.
Proof of concept.
Schematics will follow when a more ripe mixer is ready.
In this video:
an oscillator (from a previous video)*1, producing the carrier wave;
a phone playing an mp3 producing the signal (MacLeod - Hall of the mountain King)*2;
the protype mixer tested here;
a shortwave radio receiver.
The oscillating carrier wave and the signal are fed to the mixer that outputs the radio transmission that is picked up by the radio receiver.
One can just see the signal oscillating in amplitude on the screen of the oscilloscope.
There is still some work to do: filters and amplifiers, maybe even use it with a VFO.
