- Hi All! Today's video is a bit different! As I move into a new chapter with my business and set new goals for the direction of my art, these changes will begin to reflect in the story telling and aesthetics of my youtube videos!
Over these past 5 years Art journaling has become the main focus of what I share with you all on youtube but it is by far not the only thing I spend time in my studio doing. In the coming months I will begin to share bits and pieces of the many different types of art that I do, a lot of which my Behind the Scenes community has grown to know me for. If you haven' already come join us! We explore everything from large scale paintings, to book making.
It's easy in life to get caught up in familiar patterns and when we start to gain traction in one direction it is often with apprehension that we forge a new path. However the time has come ...
As we transition into the second half of 2022 I will begin to share more of my musings and thought processes, studio tours & lifestyle content. Tutorials and teaching content can still be found in my behind the scenes community over on Patreon or through my many online and in person workshops!
I am grateful for every one of the amazing creators that supports my channel and I hope to spark a new passion in you as I take you on this journey with me. To those that stick around I look forward to growing with you in the coming months. To those with whom my path diverts from I wish you the best of luck and happy creating!

What I love about Cabinet of curiosities is it takes me out at my comfort zone and let’s me open up my imagination and can go wild!
Love your commentary, Robyn -- and your pages, of course! I especially liked your point about the "right brain" knowing something. You wanted black scripting on your page and flipped over the second layer of your embellishment to almost-magically reveal it. It's a great lesson: whatever conscious intention one has going into a piece, part of artistic intuition is that you have to let those synchronicities happen.

I did not have this kind of wallpaper stash nor the leafy pattern.. but undertanding the techique of mixing those patterns I armed myself with my stencils and black.. gold and taupe paints.. my coffee spray.. and I kind of recreate the style.. remains the art deco paper.. maybe I will arm myself with my waterpaints and create something in those colours..
when you are talking and making /creating/ these Robyn.. you kind of open lots of windows in my mind.. I really am grateful for changing someone verbally descriptive to someone telling her stories in visual abstract collages.. makes my grey cells work like batteries 🥰.. thank you so much for this adventure..

Hi Robyn, I watched the Live, but was barely awake. I like the new format, especially the side by side. Hearing you talk about your choices and the serendipity that happens while we watch in split screen, very cool. The 30 minute length, if you're trying to keep to that, is plenty for TH-cam. It may bring you more viewers/subscribers if kept shorter. I think people may skip longer videos for different reasons, especially if you are new to them. I would expect you're getting more new viewers from those 15 minute "Workshop This" videos (brilliant idea), not sure how you can tell though. I support whatever works best for you and your business model. It is my INTENTION to follow you wherever you lead!
