I've been a tennis afficionado for years now and have watched numerous livestream grandslam matches and replays as well. It is my first time to see a Filipino play in WTA. Her game was amazing. She reminds me of Kerber when she hits the ball. She is like the female version of Rafa Nadal. I hope she works on her serve so she can dominate her opponent easily. Go alex!
and right now, almost a year later, she's a two-time ITF Tour titlist, and has reached her second W60 semis. hard work always plays off. I hope she'll be given another wildcard in a WTA tourney (even a WTA125), maybe qualify herself. and in the next year or so get rank high enough to get into Grand Slam qualifying
@@skylarfortune3043 i rewatched the highlights. To be very honest, I don’t remember writing my original comment and I still don’t know who she is. I almost never watch a player I never heard of. I hope a stumbled onto greatness.

@@davesalazar8532 I'm a Filipino that has been watching a LOT of tennis since 2013 -- and I have to agree, because you unlock a big serve, it does wonders to someone's game, free points and easier offense as we see she already has the tools already on her groundstrokes and also the touch.

What an amazing Filipino Talent at her young age.. She follows the step of her idol Maria Sharapova to win world tittle at 16 year old vs Serena Williams.. Keep up the good work.. Filipino pride at world stage at 16 year old..Good luck and God bless
@@chenelarkemberlu3265 yup. I think her coach must focus on her serving game, that's the weakness I see every match that she played. She commits too many double faults.
Alex is still growing and her power in hitting the Ball will certainly improve. And she is almost as tsll as the standard adolescents tennis players she usually play with. Great win for her! She seems to have a good mix of power and feel. She needs to improve her serve if she wants to break into the top 100 in future. Plus also some endorsement from the Filipino government would go a long way.

Amazing forehand and groundstroke. Nice comeback win from the youngsters.
I am glad to see Eala on WTA channel. Go, Philippines!!!
Nice to see a young Filipino tennis prodigy! Plays a mixture of Petra Kvitova and Angelique Kerber!
I agree to you Mark!
You could have said that she's just a left-handed player xD
Better late than never with these highlights. Hoping Eala has a bright future
She just has Petkovic to beat in this tournament
