  • Hi everyone! Welcome back to my home renovation Room Reveal series!! This is the interiors edition where each episode takes you through a different room from start to finish. The third room to be completed is our master en-suite in the loft. We created this room from scratch as this is a whole new floor in the house. We had full design freedom of where to put all the plumbing and choose the layout - of course that came with a few hurdles which I go into detail about in the vlog and transpired we actually were quite restricted with planning and layout lol. Oh and lets not forget the mis measuring of the window - oops!
    I’ve linked everything below that we sourced for this build and styling project.
    If I missed anything just let me know and I’ll share the link or let you know where items are from!
    Lots of love and see you next week!

    I love the bath it looks so elegant especially the chevron floor. That window really stands out in the black and the fixtures are just so timeless. You did a great job with your selections.

    my bathroom is very similar. A suggestion I have: instead of having the small mirror above your sink, you could hire a mirror company/intaller to put a piece of mirror running from the top of where the tile finishes all the way to the ceiling along that entire wall. It would help to open up the room. I did this and it really makes the bathroom feel huge! LOVE LOVE LOVE the herringbone tile and pattern

      I have this in my tiny bathroom and it makes it double the size and so easy to clean.

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks so much for the tip! I love those mirrors. it was a carefully considered choice not to do that in here. The room feels like the right size as it is so we weren't looking at hacks to make it feel larger but I love how clever that hack is!!! xx

      Thank you!!! We have a BWT water softener and it was recommended by our plumber. It’s a bulky thing so if you’re installing it make sure there’s space in a cupboard near your water source / boiler.

    You did a great job. One suggestion if you move the blind up and line it up with the top of your shower screen, the window will look bigger :)

    Absolutely love love watching your home reno series! The bauwerk and black details are so dreamy! I've been meaning to buy some bauwerk for my own bathroom and seeing you paint it has only given me the push to do it :) Can't wait for the remaining series, your home is beautiful!

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you so much! my one tip with Bauwerk is over order because it's very thin and I feel like the brush absorbs a lot of the paint so I ran out very quickly. worth every penny though! it adds the right warmth and texture to a room! xxx

      @@Jessroseparr Ah yay im so glad to hear that, there aren't enough reviews or videos available online on the process so i'm very happy you used it in your reno and i could follow along! Good to know about the bristles of the brush too. Thanks for the tip! xxx

    We've just renovated our ensuite and put in a wall hung loo, honestly, game changer. The ease in cleaning the floor etc now is brilliant and when we come to renovate our main bathroom it will be something that we do again. They do have a noisier flush though, which was interesting. May be a good idea to make sure your internal walls are insulated too for sound proofing if it falls on an internal adjoining wall, which we thankfully had the foresight to do previously. Also have the black accessories and love them, not at all hard to clean but I think we have soft water already. Also, your view from the ensuite is one of the nicest I've seen, thank God you didn't put one of those textured windows you can't see out of. We also have a roller blind to match our timber vanity and I'd prefer to pull down a blind rather than never be able to see out of the window into the garden. Great job, it looks fantastic. Thanks for these more in depth reveals, they're fab!

    • @nataliekeane8944
      @nataliekeane8944 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also we are in Australia and the main reason peeps don't choose wall hung is price. Also we have a cistern that's in the wall which is why the noise issue is something to think about. X

      so jel! that is the dream having that effortless cleaning of the floors. I dread doing it because of all the nooks. hahahah textured windows are a big NO in this household. thanks for all the lovely comments xx

    Can I ask a question? What was your reasoning for going for the off white towel rails, rather than black to match the tap wear?

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wanted it to kind of blend into the walls. Black would be too bold and distract the eye from the black shower taps and I didn't want any chrome in this room so white seemed like the safest bet.

    Great finish you two! Really enjoy watching your home renovations. I’m curious why you chose the lime wash for your walls (sorry if I’ve missed the reason that you’ve probably already mentioned) do like it though, I actually lime washed my plant pots this summer and it gives great effect 😊

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you!! the honest answer as to why I chose lime wash is because I was completely influenced by instagram 😂😂😂 I saw so many interior accounts using it and wanted a slice of that in my own home. it really adds a lovely cosiness to the bathroom which can be hard to achieve with bathrooms being quite clinical.

    We had a whole new bathroom done about 7 years ago now a small bathroom all in all it costs 5000. The toilet seat is soft closed but one of the screws on the seat keeps coming loose we can't get a replacement screws because they dont do them and no other screws will fit so had to buy a new toilet seat for that gorgeous toilet 2 years ago which cost 80 euros and now same thing is happening.

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love the look but I'd probably do it away from any splash zones as it'll be timber that you won't want to get constantly wet. If your bathroom is big enough I say go for it!
