Great find! My AC quit suddenly yesterday. Instead of putting it through a shop I paid $16 for a new relay, installed it in 3 minutes, and it works great. Keep up the good work.

Yes! I bought the fuse $10 on Amazon. Replaced it and done! Cold ac. So grateful!!!

Thanks for the tip!! Will try to swap the horn relay first to check if the relay is the problem. Will update soon.
Had this problem I did this simple check and found it was the relay , you probably saved me $250 at the dealer $ 40 for the relay Thanks 😎

My 2010 Acura RDX blows hot air sometimes and I did recharge it and its hot here in NJ lol so with this video you put up will help me try and fix the issue again thanx I will give you an update tomorrow on what has happened...

Sometimes my AC on my Acura RDX 2014 does not blow cold air and the next day it will start the cold air. This sounds like a relay. I love your video. I did not see how to replace the relay. Thanks
Marie Barba it might be relay some times activate something times dont also it can be low Freon hopefully the relay work for you... some times it’s ac compressor but that’s would be last thing

Shaikh Qadeer usually it’s the other way around when driving it cools better when stopped it cools less but anyways try adding Freon if it works then service the ac system completely
I replaced the AC clutch Relay and I noticed a difference with it blowing better. However, the AC is still taking a long time to cool. Next I will take the car to have an expert check the Freon. At least I know it's not something as simple of replacing these relays. thanks

This literally worked for one day and then the AC broke again, replaced it with two more fuses and it’s not working. I am absolutely furious.
If the fuse keeps blowing it could be issue maybe ac is jammed up with too high pressure or the coil on compressor I would try reservicing the systym it maybe overloading

Hey! Thanks for posting the video. I changed the relay and checked the fuse. AC worked first time after putting the relay but didn’t work after it. Any ideas?
Check your fuse and the relay was it brand new? Did u out in brand new relay ?
Have you ever had this problem on a 2011 RDX? My AC stopped blowing cold. The compressor does cut on.

Hi Ac is working great, but the right ac condenser fan is not. Replaced fan and still is not working .Can thus be the relay?
Check power and ground to fan fuses and relays are basic check ups or swap them
It was the bar that's in the middle of the fuse box with clear plastic. I'm not sure the name lol, but changed that, and the fan is working great. Thank god✝️ Thank you for your help!

Hi RB - Thank you for your video. I have a 2016 RDX and I recently had my air filter change at the car dealership and yesterday when I turned on my air conditioner it only is blowing out warm air. Is there something the dealership might have forgot to do or not do. Before having the air filter changed, it work beautifully.
No I doubt they can do anything ur ac systym might not be working. Why don’t u put the ac on and under the hood touch the low ac line let me know if it’s cold? Also check relay and fuse. For ac compressor. By the way bled door motor is behind by glovebox maybe they could had pulled connector to cut off the motor at heat side but check the basics first let me know update me
@@RBTheMechanic Hi RB - Thank you for your quick response. I turned on the AC for 8 mins and touched the Low AC hose and it was not cold-cold just a little cool but not warm. I checked the filters & they look fine. By the way, I purchased my RDX brand new in 2016 and rarely turn on the AC. That is why I am confused as to why it is not blowing cold-cold air. The air it blow is not hot but not cold-cold like it used to blow. I have not check the fuse or Relay yet. I am afraid I might mess something up if I pull the relay out. If I do, I will let you know what happens.
Hello. I swapped the relay and noticed that the passenger side vents are blowing cold air but the driver side venta are not. Just warm air. I also swapped the 7.5 fuse.
Ok that issue is diffrent do h have dual temp control? Check bled door operation for the side that’s hot if u got dual. Other wise it could be low Freon in ac system
I saw your video need to quickly tell you my situation. Mechanic reversed batterycable connections now my ac comes on and goes off when it wants as well as my high beams 2013 Acura RDX . Can it be blown fuse?
Oh he crazy I would take it back to him and have him fix it possabily blows fuses or other issues

My ac in the front does not blow hot or cold air in the front but on the sides it does a little bit. Yet it blows alot on the feet. It's on a acura rdx 2008. Mechanics told me it was my compressor

@@bryanparedes2868 ok put the ac on cold and then touch the ac line under hood the fat one if it’s cold ur ac is working. It might be ur blend door motor stuck in center but check to see if ur ac works
Do you think this will work with my AC ? I have an Acura 2012 rdx and the ac works but it’s not cold. This just happened 2 days ago. Was while I was driving and then no cold air working and then it only gives fan air

Thanks. Changed relay with horn it stared working. Next day no a/c. When running it cooled fine. Is there another sensor measuring freon that would disable clutch?
It might be low on Freon when ur running the rpm is high and it pushes the Freon faster
RB, I have a problem with my 2008 Acura RDX AC 1 side blows hot air and the other side blows cold air. What really caused this problem sir??
Check ur refrigeration pressure should be 35 to 40 psi when ac on low side 250 high or above

Start with chaning out ur cabin filter
Dealership changed both filters. The noise remains the same.

@@RBTheMechanic do you know which relay? I found the fuse, forth from top 7.5A as per the diagram. But cannot locate the corresponding relay.

@@jacobthompson7611 I just worked on Honda Accord today everything was working compressor engaged relay click fuse hood and ac was hot. It had .32lb or r134 it was too low so do a service on the system
@@jacobthompson7611 need to recover and it will show the amount it got and compair it with the amount it suppose to have anyways u might need to reservice the system

Check ur blend door motor it could have stopped working and is set on cold side
My cousin has a 2011 acura rdx he wanted to know which relay he can switch, he said it doesnt show on the manual which relay identified
It should me same as I show in this video. On the cover u can see somthing that looks like snow flake that’s identifies it
RB, question. I had ac service done, so freon is good, no leaks, and compressor is fine. Would a bad relay cause the AC to be intermittent? It will work great for a few minutes, but gradually gets worse. Pretty soon it's blowing warm air and the temp is set to lo. I have an 07 RDX.
Well it can be relay which can cut on and off always good idea to change out that relay regardless anyways how did they service the ac system ? Did they use ac machine to recover vaccum and Re charge ? If cans were used and system wasent vaccume it will do that with hot air pressure

@@DavidRedabaugh ok now it depends on how they serviced u can ask then I had many cars come with this type of issue they lost Freon over the years and it became unstable Freon pressure and hot air

Hi RB...I have 2016 Acura Rdx. Fuse is OK. Tried swapping Horn Relay with AC.. And we can hear relay clicking but AC is not responsive for cooling even if we put setting to Lo in control.
Any idea what else could be the issue?
Put the ac on and see if both fans on radiator come on and see if ac compressor clutch engages

is the old rdx same fuse box as the 2020 rdx , coz my ac is not getting cooled as expected at 75 , i had to put it under 68 which is something wrong , what to do in that case ?
You might need reservice ac system check ur cabin filter also

My Rdx AC works on passander side, but not drivers. It is about 10 degrees higher. There is refrigerant in system. What is the matter?

Just look for plastic over !
Under the hood you only have so many options.
1. Engine
2. Belts that connect a/c compressor, water pump, p/s pump, etc)
3. Fuse Box
4. Master Cylinder (looks like frying pan)
5. Radiator (always in front of engine)
6. A/c lines
7. Washer fluid/coolant boxes
8. Air filter box
