Good idea but it would be better to have the pump pumping water in constantly and then have an overflow pipe that let it drain out at the top and then a simple plug at the bottom to let it drain to the back of the boat and out the boat drain plug once you are put of the water.
Kevin Howard, can you send me pictures of how you mounted the second pump that pumps the water in??? That's exactly what I was going to do but not sure how to go about it...
What I ended up doing I'd purchasing a second pump just like the one in the video I drilled a hole though the boat under the water line and mounted it to where it sucks in water from the lake to fill the just flip the switch to turn it off. Then the other pump like you saw in the video runs the live well and also pumps out the water I hope that answers your question
