Yep. This is a great example also of mission creep by the border patrol. I’ve watched videos today of border towns where the USA-Canada border literally goes through the town and people have to cross multiple times a day. And a lot of them have talked about how rude the border patrol agents are, a lot of said Canadian border patrol is very nice but the US border patrol are jerks. I’m guessing they need to feel like they’re doing some thing worth wild so they don’t like when people don’t technically check in when they’re crossing the street Dr friend are going to a grocery store. So they have to enforce the rules to feel like their job is not worthless. And ask for all the claims about terrorists and drug distribution, that happens within the United States also. You can make drugs in one state and go to the next day. Do I need fences and border patrol between each state, each county, and even each city? They’re taking something that has truth but expanding it to a point that silly. Because these drug mules or terrorists have to get in to Canada in order to cross over the border. It seems like all the money we’re spinning on technology could be better use somewhere else. I agree the southern border is a problem, but I don’t see the northern border as a problem compared to the money it will cost.

Hard to believe there was a time you could cross the Coutts/Sweetgrass border crossing just using your driver's license as ID.
