I saw Roxi yesterday at Palmer’s and bought the same 3 year anniversary basket🤗 and a bunch of others of her creation😉. Gret haul. Love, love, love Josh’s tree branch and great idea to mount your lava burst on it. I hope he will bring some at the Tamiami show as I would love to get one (the tree branch - I already have a lava burst)😍
Great mini haul and I get a kick out of your orchid math 😉😍 I am envious of your new Fu Shu Glory, such a big and healthy plant that will bloom soon and I'm looking forward to you showing her off. I was awestruck the first time I saw this in bloom on Miss Orchid Girl and had to have one....my first one is struggling to hang on and probably won't make it so I recently ordered another from a different vendor that looks better but I will have to try to be patient while it matures to blooming stage. Your new Lava Burst will look so pretty on the branch mount! And the unpronounceable beauty will look fabulous in the pot you got from Roxy 🥰 Good luck with the owls keeping the squirrels away. We have lots of squirrels here but they don't mess with my orchids; just the same, I won't tempt them by mounting any orchids on the trees 🤨. They prefer to get into my large pollinator garden pots and dig just for the fun of it but I can live with that.

I started collecting orchids 3 yrs ago & bought seedlings. Now I’ve run out of patience so buy flowering orchids to keep me going! I still get excited to see growth on the babies, though.
Hi Melissa, I have a howeara Lava Burst for over 14 years.. I had her potted, she was just hanging in there not doing much. Then later I mounted her on a tree fern plaque. She is a beauty, she blooms all the time, I get 2 to 3 spikes from one spike and multiple spikes at a time. just wanted to share my experience
I've read you can't leave them in the same place for more than a day. To make them look realistic keep moving them to different places constantly. I would like for there to be a falcon or hawk that moves and is not expensive.
Oh, I hear you sister 😡 nature is beautiful and we try to respect nature, but when they start eating and braking buds and plants...yes it's war 😡😤😤😤good luck hun. There is nothing worse than looking forward to a bloom, then when you go to check... Spike is broken 🤬😤😱 I experience it often with the monkeys. The babies' monkeys think my plants are chew toys 😢😢😢 I really hope it works for you. 🦉🦉I won't work here... I tried rubber snakes... it helps for a while, but then they figure it out, so we are back to square 1. Most frustrating 😢😢 stunning plants 🪴

Oncidium type of orchids needs to be in a pot for adequate hydration 😊
