a dark fantasy/berserk inspired personal modlist. definitely a work in progress, these are just tapes of my skyrim modding journey.
questions about any mod you see just comment and i'll respond.
this is an adult dark fantasy list and if there's enough interest, i'll clean up and attempt to share the modlist. i use vortex so i'm not sure how to get the load order/modlist ported to load order library. someone point me in the right direction lol.

PC tries his hardest not to explode.
It's nowhere near as demanding as people make it out to be. Under the hood - no matter how many mods - it's a 2011 game.

@@smaller_cathedrals Bro game might be from 2011 but the mods are modern and they come with 8k resolution texture for both armor, wepons skin textures for player and Npcs even for world overhaul like grass, water, mountains, Light effects is wild all of those will push your PC specially if you use 4k ENB Mod Uff.

I don’t care much about the graphics, I’m more amazed how you removed the clunkiness of old Skyrim engine. The walking animations looks great

nah, i played almost every modpack for skyrim and no matter how many mods you can still feel clunkiness of old skyrim.
This is what it felt like as a kid. The sleepy mornings on the days you didnt have school, or bad weather, maybe sick. Wake up, turn on, play for hours looking for anything... anything, just exploring.... The good times.
this is on the money sir 🫡 diving deeper into the psyche will explain why so many of us mod this game. at the core, it can bring us back to that magic of being a kid, endless imagination and exploration. from creating a world to getting lost in it 😏
I've watched tons of Skyrim graphical showcases and this is genuinely the first time I immediately say "I WANT IT" in my head just after 10 seconds of watching

For load order library you should be able to just upload your text files. Named modlist.txt, plugins.txt, loadorder.txt. I know MO2 has these files easily accessible, and i assume Vortex does too. But i can't help you find it since I've never used Vortex

This modlist is straight-up fire. Any chance you could drop a Wabbajack collection or a Nexus Mods collection? Would make it way easier for all of us to experience it without manually installing everything. A lot of people (including me) would love to try it out!"
This way, you’re nudging them in the direction of making it easier for everyone to install without having to deal with individual mods manually. If they’re unsure about how to do it, you can suggest Wabbajack’s documentation or the Nexus Mods Collections feature.

@somaskyrim Yes, it's hard to be perfect in an adaptation, even 97 had a bunch of flaws if you're picky. I think the right game developer could pull it off as a game can be as long as you want it to be. Although nothing will ever live up to the source material, I view all these attempts to honor it as a way to bring people to the Manga.

This is 🔥 I recommend you check out smooths hand cannon mod for guts armor. It’s a nice addition to combat for guts build
the cannon arm has always looked sick, i just couldn’t get it working w/bash behaviors overhaul

@@EXHellfire wym? If ur asking if it works with mco smooth has a version that sets the cannon to backwards direction power attack it’s pretty nice if you have bash behaviors but still wanna use it
Love what I'm seeing, I also mod Skyrim with vortex pretty heavily so always inspiring seeing other people get good results with it. Our lists have a very similar vibe, would love to chat on discord or something about mods, keep up the good work.

appreciate you G. i tried to make darkend work in my list but i kept getting crashes conflicting with other mods. like the infamous spiral staircase ctd and then some.
maybe i should try again, im slightly better at modding now so i could probably patch it myself

vortex makes it mad difficult to share the modlist like mo2. i can only access load order and plugins, which can be confusing as you’re only able to look at plugin names. if you want to check that out, i have it posted on my latest video

i’ll for sure check it out! boss fight to obtain the armor sounds dope. rn i only have the bdor berserk pack, it looks great but no implementation to get the armor in game without additem or console command. you might see yours in one of my future tapes 🫡

unfortunately im not an expert but you said that you use vortex the best way to get the modlist would to make it as a collection which i believe you do by going to the workshop tab then create a collection and select the profile you are using then can rename the collection and modify it from there and i believe it uploads it? im not to familiar with the process so i cant really help out from there but this would allow people with vortex to downlaod it and use it while you can make changes to it still.
technically yes! but there’s a list of rules you have to adhere to as well. such as paywalled mods and any patches alluding to them are strictly prohibited. the same rules for wabbajack as well, which got lists like ultima and mouse banned. mine would suffer the same fate bc my list does contain a decent amount of armors, movesets, upscaler and reshade shaders from patreon creators.
uploading my current list atm? not possible. increased demand and interest in my list? with enough support and growth in this channel i would 100% work to make it public. creating a version as close to my personal list as possible without any paid or unavailable mods. i really just uploaded these clips for fun. thoroughly surprised it got pushed out to so many people.

What mod do you use for the footsteps. They feel way more, clanky and I like it lol
footsteps sound overhaul. which i don’t think is available anymore but the mod footsteps sound restored sounds like it’s identical so try that one

How did you made puredark's Dlss work so flawlessly? Mine the pixels jitter like crazy everything is grainy, that on ultraquality
for testing i use balanced and sometimes quality during my actual playthroughs. my gpu can't handle ultra. depending on the weather, the lighting in trees looks terrible on mine as well shadow detail specifically between the leaves of the trees. but compared to fsr and dlaa, dlss is still the best quality overall, so it's a sacrifice i'll make

Killer setup! What music replacer was that? Also, ive been using advanced motion blur for awhile and have yet to see anyone online talking about optimal settings. Any tips?
LORKHAN is the soundtrack replacer.
as for advanced motion blur. i never saw a performance decrease when increasing the first option, the amount of blur, but i did run into the issue of like the refractions looking bad if i went too high. I'd say set it anywhere from 1.5 - 2.5 depending on your setup and how much blur you like, you could go more but mine didn't look good, it might be resolution and setup dependent.
for the option below that, where it says something like the points per object or whatever, I raised mine to 15. saw no difference in performance compared to the default which was like 3 i think.

i don’t, it’s just been a personal list i made for my own fun. i could one day try to put it up on nexus collections (cause i use vortex)
but in its current state i can’t share it bc of paywalled stuff like mco move sets and armors, motion blur, reshade shaders, and unavailable mods like the dark souls armor packs
just curious, whats ur average temp and fps when in the cities using thes emods?
3080 gpu temp is like 60-65c.
5900x averages around 72c, the game is cpu bound i would say. and i’m on an ITX build with only a single fan radiator cooling the cpu it so that’s also why it runs warm.
fps is all over the place, comes with learning how to mod and optimize this game. it can spike from sub 30fps to a smooth 60. have already since the release of this video, changed up my whiterun, slightly more optimized. i have a tour of markarth and the new whiterun up on my channel if you want to see the game run much better than what’s shown here.

I didnt like the combat.. somehow looks like a step back.. The graphics are gorgous.. The giant looks a bit wierd..
the input is hear my dude. dragon slayer moveset in this one is straight from the berserk musou game so i can see it being too flashy!
i’m also tossed up on the giants too, dunno if i want them armored or diverse
I think I would prefer a realistic and simple combat style in this visuals，but berserk style is really cool.I think increasing the camera shake by recision may be better ?

if you played at 1080p you could probably handle it. depend how much vram you have

Do you have a weapon wheel mod installed to have a quick access to your weapons ?
I tried Wheeler but mapping the keys doesn't work... And the similar mods seem to be outdated...
@@FryTHF i use wheeler so i couldn’t offer any alternatives.
the default keys are ‘caps lock’ to pull up the menu, ‘n’ and ‘m’ to add tabs and slots. those should work using mouse and keyboard. then just hover over the weapon in your inventory and open up wheeler, left or right click and it’ll add the item to the slot

So I figured out that I could set up keys into the control.ini for Wheeler. Working fine now. I'm using the KB to set up items in the wheel then use my controller for the gameplay.
I will figure out how to well set up the controller keys and it will be perfect !

You're using impoverish whiterun, do the planks look thin or like theres gaps beneath them for you? and down the side streets is there a gap between the mud and green landscape? It's my only reason for not using impoverished
working on making other cities 100% patched first, then coming back to whiterun to fix that mod looking that way, not 100% sure why it does that
is a dark fantasy, in my opinion, i would remove the rocks and the planks on the road and leave it mudy would go better for a dark fantasy theme, but thats just my opinion
i’ve since removed it but i’ve used it for like a year. the planks aren’t thin but there are gaps between each plank and the mud underneath.
the alleys between the shops and breezehome there shouldn’t be gaps. i had a seam between breezehome and the first building for a while but i was able to patch it

About the colors, I also use Cabbage. Did you only use the Reshade Color effects for the dark atmosphere?
tweaking cabbage enb sets the foundation, reshade helps dull it up and add more shadow details

Is it just me or your image completely fall aparty as you move camera around? So much noise damn, could be maybe even the YT video, but still
something is def off with my shadow quality. the artifacts with the trees is horrendous imo as well. i haven’t been able to find the fix. but also you could be noticing the motion blur reshade which im sure plays a factor in how my image looks
I wonder how much fps you getting on this one, 30-40 fps without dlss/lsfg?
i’d say with my current set up you’re on the money. my whiterun is not optimized at all, i need to find a better balance of aesthetic and performance.
the open world runs anywhere from 45-60+ without lsfg. i do use efps and vramr. never tried playing this setup without puredark’s dlss.
I think Skyrim is already dark fantasy tbh

mine is custom at his point, but i used Silentium Noctis on nexus as my base, it’s perfect with cabbage enb from my experience

@@Jurra-x in the mcm there should be an option to place the bar at the center bottom, i did that and scaled down the bar so it wouldn't be so big
