Jed and Matthew are set to discuss their journeys in Christianity and explorations in the Dharmic Traditions, with a surefire bet that Vervaeke's thought will be touched on as well.
This is great stuff. Something about losing initial Christian faith, exploring and benefitting from Eastern concepts, and returning to Christianity anew that I can definitely relate with
Self sacrifice. Ego is implicated with the self. I’m not even sure there is room for self sacrifice in ego death, if ego death is the dissolution of the self. Ego is what values/qualifies the self.
Does anyone know the meaning of Mathew 11:12 where Jesus says “And from the days of John the baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force.” It seems out of place and doesn’t make sense to me. How can anyone take the kingdom of heaven by force? Who was taking it by force?
So happy to see this conversation between Matthew and Jed. Got to listen to the first hour at least and love it. Thank you both.

That sounded like an assertion & I really have no idea.
