' Brenga ' is the name of the dish Garos traditionally cook in a bamboo. Usually pork , chicken or fish would be cooked along with red onions , chilli , ginger , salt and khaar (alkaline )/ sodium bicarbonate. Also the rice crepe you ate is called ' jakkep' and the steamed rice cake is known as ' sakkin'. P.S loved the video👍👍
FYI, the Garo tribe is an indigenous group primarily found in the northeastern regions of India, especially in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, west Bengal, Assam, parts of Bangladesh and other regions. They are part of the larger Tibeto-Burman ethnic group. The Garo people are believed to have migrated to the region from the Tibet around 400 b.c., with their ancestors possibly moved through Myanmar. The Garo language belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language family, specifically the Bodo-Garo sub-group. There are various dialects of Garo, but the language is distinct for its tonal nature. While many Garos still speak their native language, English and Hindi are also commonly used for communication, especially in urban areas. Thanks a bunch buddy and hope to see you next year.
I feel it's something assam should do too. Cause it has so many different ethnic tribes so that everyone feel the state at home. which will bring unity
