Just looked at your show. Attended West Dem 66-71. The two big trees are still there lovely. We used to have 3:30 fights under the trees. Was there with Chandra, Amsterdam, Fassan, Cheddi, Misir, Aziz. We had Persaud, Mr Hillian, Katz, Ayub, Chan and so on. Remember Sadhu used to cut grass. We also had a basketball hoop that Ms Schwartz made us chop down 😂😂😂😂😂. Great days OMG!!! Best days of my life. Thx for sharing my friend
Wow. So many great memories. I was working at the Ministry of Works and Hydraulics at Plaintain Walk. Think I heard you say Ministry of Education or maybe i did not hear correctly. Have they changed it. I lived at New Road and used to ride my bike to work four times a day. Thanks for bringing back good memories. I left Beautiful Guyana in 1976. Another super video from you. Keep up the good wirk. Vado.
Thanks for the video, obviously brought back lots of memory, myself and a number of boys and girls used to walk from Wesdem to Vreeden Hoop to get the train..anyway based on some of your narration, we may have crossed each other at Wesdem,., I attended 71-76.
Thank you for providing a wonderful video, it brought back so many memories of my childhood. But you pointed the Azeez’s home, which are my in-laws, you also pointed out the Balliah’s house but my grandfather Sulaman ( Butcher Sulaman) was right next door to the Ballliah’s but was not able to see it. Just wondering if it’s still around. Balliah was first, right next door was butcher Sulaman and on the other side was Cone Man. Not sure if you can find this house in your video. If not, thank you for providing this wonderful memory, looking forward to seeing more. Much appreciated! Lisa Miller
You're welcome, I don't think the house is there anymore, I think someone by the name of Patsy ( I have to find out whose daughter this Patsy is ) bought the house. They would have had to break down the old house completely and built a new one, which is the one you see between Balliah's and Cone Man. I will do a new video in 4k quality of the area soon and cover more in detail . I did another video of Pouderoyen after this one here th-cam.com/video/hy8MJki8SoQ/w-d-xo.html , not sure if you saw it. I did not cover the Sulaman's home in this one though. By the way, may I ask which one of the Azeez boys you are married to and your Mom's or Dad's name ? Thanks.
Nice video bro 👍 I know that bicycle 🚲 that you are talking about 😀 when I was living on camp St next to bent st back in the day 😀 they was a guy who had one of those bicycle 🚲 and he used to show off with his bicycle 🚲😫😫 oh I used to barrow my sister bicycle 🚲 she had a bicycle called chopped 😀 you should know that bicycle name 😁 thank for showing the Starlite cinema 🎥 when I was a kid I always used to see the the Starlite cinema 🎥 in the cinema guide in the newspaper 😀 but this is the first time I've ever seen it 😊😁👍👍✋🎄🎄
Thank you, lol yes it was the Raliegh brand of bicycle back in those days. Was the one your sister had called Chopper ? yes I can remember those, the good old days.
@@RealNiceGuyana Bai we voice sounds the same 😁😁them Callie bicycle 🚲 was expensive back in the day 😞😞 but I don't think them Callie bicycle was strong 😁 but the chopped bicycle was strong 😁 I remembered when I was a kid 😀 when I learned to ride bicycle 🚲 I rode from camp and bent st all the way over the bridge 🌉 and I remembered after crossing over the bridge 🌉 I made a left turn and they were a cinema 🎥 there and I turned back 😀 do you know the cinema 🎥 name?😁 one time I try towing my friend over the bridge 🌉 but you couldn't tow people over the bridge 🌉 so I made him walk over the bridge 🌉 ha ha 😂😂 you know when you first learned to ride bicycle 🚲 you always want to ride all over the place lol 😂👍✋🎄🍺🍺
Sorry buddy this comment was held for review for some reason for a while . i just saw it Yes Bicycles was expensive , the CALOI was not strong as the RALEIGH. I remember my older brother bought a Caloi and I offered my Mom to deliver some tings in New Road just to get my first test of the Caloi 😀 ThaT WAS A LOOONG Ride buddy from Camp st. to over the bridge !! The cinema was right of the bridge, not left, AVON CINEMA , it was in Goed Fortuin. I t would have been the old road at the time from the bridge, so once you made a right off the bridge and got around the turn the Cinema was on the left. If you went left the only cinema would have been all the way in Wales ( Princess of Wales Cinema ). you are right towing was not allowed on the bridge back then. I know too well because a friend and I used to go cross with one bicycle going to night school. I used to run across and he used to ride across because it was his Bike 😀 makes sense right. You right I used to borrow my neighbour BIG BEN bicycle and go ride about when I learned to ride, it was the only one I could get to borrow😀
Hi bro 👍 whenever you are doing your road trip video ☺️ if you see any of them old cinema 🎥 can you video 📷 them 😊 the cinema 🎥 was my second home in G.T 😁😁😁 oh I don't remember the brand name of my sister bicycle 🚲 I only knew it was called chopped and the frame was strong 😁👍✋🍺🎄🎄✋🇬🇾🇨🇦🍺🍺
