In 1988 a Boeing 737-300 with 98 passengers on board was hijacked in Brazil. The hijacker killed the copilot and kept the pilot at gunpoint until they almost ran out of fuel. In a final desperate attempt to knock down the hijacker the pilot executed two maneuvers while at low altitude already: a full barrel roll an aileron roll (or tonneau) followed by a diving spin. The force of the maneuver was so great that part of the leveling plane of the tail detached. Boeing engineers stated the plane shouldn't have been able to perform the two maneuvers so tightly and wanted to see the flight data recorder (black box) to study the movements as the aircraft was not designed to perform such moves. And still... it did.

the plane got "attacked" is because thats what happens if a hijacker enters, fighters shoot the plane down on purpose, or The aircraft got shot on the engines so they fail and the plane lands.
