Mario Castle Calamity 2.5 HD Remake (Animation)

- On that fateful day 10 years ago or so, Mario decided to take on his next big enemy: the world castle! Does Mario have what it takes to overcome this challenge?
Following the events of the original castle calamities by Bigfoot3290, I made my own calamity way back in 2012 heavily inspired by the original two. Unfortunately, the quality is locked to 240p and that animation file is long gone. The solution? Reanimate it in high definition! So, yes, technically, it's a remake of a remake.

Letting the last one to defeat the castle be Goku, has been a good strategy to leave a small grain in honor of its creator, good move

Edit: The ending was much more dramatic than the original, but still leaves on the pesky cliff hanger for part 2.6!

A true masterpiece from the old days revamped and given a new coat of paint. And Goku as the cherry on top did wonders. Hope to see 2.6 when it's done. But for now this was well made.
This wasn't just a remake this was a REIMAGINE
I remember growing up on a lot of Sprite Animation stuff. I loved your Mario Run vid so much when I was younger, so seeing this feels like a flash to the past. (With some modern stuff thrown in)

Amazing work on this remake. I'm hoping we'll see 2.6 eventually given a remake as well, but even if we don't, this is still amazing on its own.

Gotta say, it's plain weird how many memories one can connect to these silly sprite animations. Especially memories from what one used to watch on TH-cam or others platforms and for what reason. From the Mario Castle Calamities, which brought many good laughs with them, to e.g. SMBZ, which had just what you needed if you wanted to see a more story-driven Mario series akin to an anime.
Sharing these videos with others and laughing together or even theorising how the series could go on...
Pretty wild how somethng like this can take one back so far.
Here's to another 10 years of forming memories like this!

I remember watching this TH-cam channel back in the day. I remember all the Mario calamities, the snowball fight with Mario and Luigi, it’s so good to see that this TH-cam channel is still striving for greatness all these years later! 👍

I love that the idea that the new stuff added in this version is essentially just Castle Calamity as Luigi remembers it after a decade. Feels good to see a classic return after so long.

When you first talked about this I thought you were just gonna rerender it in 1080p but this is absolutely amazing.
I knew I didn't have the original animation file so I was going to reanimate as it was, but decided around halfway through to give it a slight new coat of paint.

I remember this whole genre of mario sprite animations spawning from the beginning on newgrounds and watching the various forms pop up over the years but your videos were always special. Your style took the quality and attention to detail on par with Mr Lange from the original castle collabs and took it to a whole other level and just continue to improve upon it every single video you make. I hope you continue doing what you love!

While I might have some reservations about the pacing compared to the original, I can't deny that there's a lot of creativity behind a lot of these ideas, and that last sequence was handled in a way I honestly wasn't expecting.
