It sucks so much that this didn't a spin off show! I still don't why it didn't happen. SPN is a big fandom and everyone seemed on board with it. This backdoor was at least a thousand times better than the last one with Bloodlones
Favorite line from this one... Because I'm from Minnesota. aww man.. skipping Donna's supportive lines.. pfft. I also have a random tangent for ya.. The boys got to meet .. like backstage meet, the band.. Pearl Jam.. Jared turned into a 12 year old fan girl and Jensen had to remove him from the room. If you want, I'll try and find the con video where they told that story.. I think it was VanCon '19 but I'm not sure. There are sooo many more con stories that don't truly count as spoilers but trying to type them out pales to hearing the actors tell them. The girl you are talking about at around 1344 is Bela. This is not a spoiler. The last time we saw Bela, she was allegedly working for Lilith, had the colt and failed to kill the boys when hell hounds were heard. We never saw them take her. The next time we saw the colt, Crowley had it.. I swear they left that door open. This episode was a set up for a spin off.. it didn't get the traction for production to snap it up.
I remember a tear leaving my eye when Jody said Sam and Dean were on a hunting trip, and she hadnt hear from them in a few days 😢 Reference to the very first episode This could have been an amazing spin off By this point I remember i just wanted Jodys adopted kids hanging out with Sam, Dean and Cass adopted kids like Jack, bring back Ben some how, also Jesse, demon/human kid
This was the spin off that a large portion of the fandom wanted to the point this episode was made based on that -- the idea was Wayward Daughters. For legal reason it got changed to Sisters. I am still salty it didn't happen and I think it was bad call from CW personally. But hey now the CW doesn't really exist anymore so a lot of bad calls were made LOL.
Jody, Donna, Claire, Alex, Patience and Kaia were the spin off plan regulars. It was meant to be an all woman led show, the romance was going to be Claire/Kaia... i would have been spectacular. But CW decided for reasons it wasn't 'enough'. I'd totally still watch a spin off with all these people but Kathryn Newton got a bit too expensive for a CW budget right after this (though they could have still had her, she was full on in on the spin off).
Puppy humping? 😂 Yeah, it was a backdoor pilot, did not get picked up unfortunately which was a crying shame cause it's a great episode and I definitely would have watched this spinoff. Although agree, Missouri would have been an excellent addition to that. Separate note - I must know, what song do you NOT like from Pearl Jam Ten? I will judge you based on the response lol.
I LOVE this episode and yeah it sucks so much that this spin off wasn't picked up. the network decided to go with the Vampire Diaries Legacies pilot instead of Wayward Sisters. Why they couldn't do both is a mystery to me because I would have loved this as a show.
When your show runs for 15 years, there isn’t really any need for spin-off series. TVD had 2 whole spin-off shows and only lasted 13 years. Arrowverse had 6+ shows running together and only lasted 11 years.
As everyone else in this comments section has said, missed opportunity with this.. Killing Kaia was a good setup for the spin-off I guess but I do think that she shouldn’t have died in this episode… we should have learned to care for her more - Claire really needed more time to care about her more… alas
I am still pissed that we didn't get this spin off! And they were definitely setting up Claire/Kaia as a romantic thing which is another reason I'm sad we didn't get the spin off. I would have loved to see them get a lot more development! (And I appreciate you shipping Jody/Donna because I love them so much as well!)
I knew what this one was supposed to be going in so I had low expectations. Thank goodness for Jody, still lover her and yeah still don't have any heart for Claire.
(runs in) “No.” (runs out before the fandom attacks) I adore Jody and Donna. I hate back door pilots. And I had less than zero interest in any of the girls of this spin off. I’m over 50 and couldn’t care less about watching Supernatural Dawson’s Creek. I was pretty annoyed that TWO of the quickly running out Supernatural episodes were taken up by this. But feel badly for Kim and Brianna who deserved a better show that focused on their well-fleshed out characters.

This was the spin-off we really deserved. Sucked so hard that it didn't happen. :(
Sorry for the Language.. but i Fecking LOVE when you do the "Hailey its me Jackson" stuff haha
So bummed this never got a spin-off, I would have watched it for Jody, always liked her character.
agreed, it would have been fun
The spin off spun out and then spun off into the never never.

Donna with her good girl Minnesotan accent handing out guns is just iconic... 😂
Pearl Jam Ten is a frickin masterpiece
Yup was a back door pilot that didn’t happen 😢
I bet you that if this backdoor pilot had been picked up, Wayward Sisters would still be running today!!! Shame on The CW for not giving it a chance

There also the supernatural animation that 22 eps
Man i love this episode! From start to finish 😊
it was so damn good

Lol. Maybe he skips "Why Go"? I have nothing against it, but it's a song I skip sometimes. And "Deep".
I would've have loved this spin off with the SPN women! Wish it got picked up but they ultimately chose Legacies instead.

I think this would have been an awesome spin off
hybrid theory is pretty based.

Yes, this was the back door pilot for Wayward Sisters, but never came to fruition, sadly.. 😕

Would have loved this as a spin-off
The spin-off that should have been. But nope, CW went with Riverdale instead.
No, it was Legacies
This was intended to start a spin off. Sadly, it didn't.
You skipped all the Kaia and Claire stuff.... so much built up in so little time.
I knew what this one was supposed to be going in so I had low expectations. Thank goodness for Jody, still lover her and yeah still don't have any heart for Claire.

One of the worst episodes of the show. Fortunately the spinoff wasn't picked up.
