Backing track / karaoke / instrumental of 'Take Me Home' by @philcollins. The song was released in 1985 and is one of my favourite songs of the '80s. Phil often used to perform this song at the end of his live shows and got the audience to sing along (Berlin 1990 for example), so I've gone for an ending that reflects that approach. Enjoy!

@@CJMusic2 Yes it is. I grew up in a great community. While on the topic of high schools, one of my favorite movies to date is The Breakfast Club (1985). I saw it 3 times in the movie theater. John Hughes was a master and icon when it came to making '80's themed movies.

No, it doesn't bother me that I can't sing a note. I can write music, but have absolutely no vocal talent at all, but I don't care.
I've been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I've had two nervous breakdowns in my life. 1 is when I was married to stupid Gregory Gentry, and one was when that baby animal died in my arms. I almost cried when I sang this song because of what happened to that guy. If it wasn't for my husband who I have now in my beautiful two-week-old daughter I would have lost all my senses momentarily.

@@CJMusic2 Thanks again, will try this original key version first as I may be able to do it soon. I've found that most of the song is sung in F3-G4# range with some bits going into Bb5. I've just finished & posted Yesterday Once More, and found, via my pitch monitor app, my voice was hitting G4# and G5# at the same time, while singing the chorus. No idea how that is happening but I'm not complaining ha ha ha

Can you please tell me what drum machine you are using? I'm looking into getting a Roland TR8s but I don't know if it has that prominent bell like sound.
Sure, the drum pattern was originally done on Roland TR909 and TR727 drum machines. I don't have either of those but Logic Pro, which is the DAW I use for all my backing tracks, has excellent software versions of both drum machines. Hope that helps!
