Lynx and ET Max will be the performance wheels to beat in 2024. this was a fun. two intelligent people sitting in front of a camera usually works out fairly well.
Great synergy between you guys. Some new updates: - GT PRO ran into some developmental issues with the 168V controller, according to BG source it will be very similar to the ET MAX. Demo production is scheduled for the 25th, hopefuly shipping out before the CNY shutdown - New 14" model will be annouced on Thursday, one of these will be getting shipped out to your guys - ET Max demo is on the heels of the GT PRO - EB entity exists because of a family relation to the owner of BG. With the product overlap, agreed that it doesn't seem very logical; BG owner says that the differentiators with the EB Wheels are the speakers, cyclindrical type suspension & LEDs, while BG has adopted a different approach for their suspension machines
I kept hearing different things about ExtremeBull; its a completely separate company; or the owners are cousin of Begode boss and so were able to share resources; in the end it feels like neither BG nor EB have any consistent characteristics so they just feel interchangeable at this point. In the end the corporate structure don't really make any difference to the consumer but what matters are the products. Jason said that he thought the ET max was going to come first, as of a week ago, not sure if things had changed. But a 14incher? hmmm that should be interesting!
This is the kind of video missing from the EUC community. Real commentary by people who know what they are talking about. Reviews are great, but this helps really inform on the reality of the wheels.
It was fun watch you together, two unbiased guys that know what they are talking about, talking about wheels we have come to love from their seperate you tube reviews. Awesome :)
I peddle clipped 6 times last summer. It’s a brutal way to crash which is why we need those peddles up there especially when suspension is compressed. Good vid and content. Thanks!
Cool collaboration between you two. A lot of people trust you both for information about electric unicycles. Ronin is one of the reasons I bought the wheel that I did.
I agree on your take about S16...from an adult's perspective who does not have any children. I have a 9 year old I expect to be able to fully take advantage of S16's potential. But because of his smaller size and strength, I have to rule out most high power suspension wheels that would be just too heavy for him to handle when he steps off the pedals. After having my kid test rode Marty's S16, I believe S16 Pro would be the perfect wheel for him in the foreseeable future. I'm glad Kingsong has made that one available just the right time for us.
Hey man this is a great bonus I was not expecting.... I think erides doing a Lynx pedal lowering bracket... You may already know this... Great show... Edit... U do know heh
re pedals. I took my Lynx to an MTB park & trails yesterday. I appreciate the high pedals and won't be lowering them. But I do get the issue with speed runs, I have topped at 52.7mph so far and you really feel the wheel kinda want to fall to one side. But for me, I bought it BECAUSE it's such a good middleground wheel between off-road (power to weight) and commute (looks nice, decent range). Coming from an S22, the suspension is SHOCKINGLY harder. But worth the trade off.
What lbs shocks do you have in your lynx mate? Also, how does the lynx suspension go offroad compared to the S22 (pro?) Ive got a s22 Pro and extreme and have been considering replacing both of them with the lynx
@@bronsonmercieca2120 70lb I have an S22 but with aftermarket sliders and pro motor. Lynx is much firmer off-road, and the reduced travel is very noticeable on drops or if you over shoot a jump. It's not 'bad' though. I am yet to bottom out and have done some pretty big jump overshoots. It's mostly noticeable when you clear stair sets and similar height drops. Other than suspension, it's more top heavy so it is more of a workout on some trails where you have to change direction a lot on berms. But it's not unwieldy and still fun. For me, it's 100% worth it just because of the power difference. As you have the Extreme, I imagine you know the same lack of power feeling you get on the S22 in many spots. I think the Lynx could replace both, but I would try and get some time on one just so you can feel it. I say go for it though. I went in blind and don't regret it. P.S. I am 75kg naked, and people would recommend I go for the 66lb, but I knew I would be abusing the shit out of it.
30:10 yes, you can absolutely restrict the top speed without reducing anything else. I know the basics of programming vesc, in this software you can reduce max rpm of the motor as a separate setting. I bet this works similarly in they software
if you have to buy adjustable pedals, it is what it is. lower ride height = lower center of gravity = more stability = safer..it Would be great if they lower the wheel itself for speed focused built EUC's
For me the lynx was good enough. I dont see myself reaching skill level over the physical limitation of the lynx much less the et max. Et max does look sweet, but getting thru rain and everyday use is looking better with the lynx. I hate high pedals and Ive been riding for a while and I still cant get used to it. Lynx lowering kit is only 1 inch +-. I did order it just to see how it works. Love the conversation. Props to NYC. Dont ban understand!
ETmax comes with adjustable pedals. In theory someone could design a shock linkage for it which had multiple shock locations which supported 130mm or 100mm travel, at least I hope some one will...
I need to install the Eride hanger and see how the Lynx feel with it, but i still want to ride it a bit more stock to make sure that i'll register the differences.
One more great video. You guys should do more this “Podcast” type. On riding with the cross winds, the guys are NOT in Saudi, that’s Abu Dhabi, Yas Land, where there is the F1 Grand Prix. It is insane!!! It’s a perfect, 6 lane wide, each direction and goes for over 30 miles straight. However, and that’s why I think they do their videos at night, the cross winds are ALSO insane. Driving a big SUV like a VW Touareg you can feel the cross winds during the day. I have not driven there during the night, but I do not think is very different then the day, just a little better. Anyhow, great video, bring more like this!!!!

Great conversation guys, very enlightening. And nice to put a face to the masked rider finally Ronin! Ronin I know you really liked the OG Cpro, but with the addition of the C40 I'd be curious what you think of the weight distribution. Yes I know an EX30 and Cpro had a baby, but imo it's probably the best all-rounder street to trail and back do-it-all wheel, that no one talks about.
