Awesome truck. I’d like to see you do a video on how you spec a 389. Like the cost of different upgrades. Such as upgrading to a 565/2050 or 605/2050 vs staying with the 565/1850. And what the engine upgrade comes with. Full rosewood dash vs the black dash. Going with the premium breathers. 24.5 vs 22.5 wheels. Etc. I know it’s definitely cheaper to get from the factory vs change it later. Just thought that would be a great video. Keep them coming 🤟
Great Video, thanks for mentioning all of the specs. 3:91's are a great gear choice, low enough with the 18 speed but not gear bound on the highway. Great specs, Great video!
900 views, no dislikes. People know you are the best in the business. Someone may have said this before me, but I would LOVE to see your take on an old 352 pacemaker or 362. That would be epic! I am sure it would blow minds. 🤯
I love how u spec the trucks I wish u didn't work for the biggest crooks in the world after 15 days and a 15000 doller bill for a headgasket and hearing everyday oh were just tightening stuff back up I swore id never do any buiseness with rush in tulsa but ill keep following u u go to a better pete dealer ill probably be on your doorstep u know what your doing
Large car Heaven if I had the means I would purchase A Peterbilt Steve Special 389 and a Kenworth W 900 Steve Special both in that fabulous Black Cherry
Why're trucks rated so light in the U.S?? Our light semi trucks are around 100,000 Lbs for city delivery's and some of our semi trucks are rated at 154,324 Lbs single trailer, our heavy quads have a rating of 429,901 Lbs some may go higher. P.S I'm in Australia.
Hi Steve quick question, I have a general idea of what this details for, but what about to lease something like this? $2,000-$2,500 per month? Thanks Steve
Dumb questions are the pusher axels always singles are they steerable second question what really do you gain from 605 hp and 565 hp if same torque why not just sell the 605 hp I am thinking at fuel economy can’t be that much of a factor at that level. Thank you again for educating the rest of us
Actually all of the fuel components are completely different in 565 and 605. And if you ever had to deal with fuel repairs you would know that fuel pump alone will run you about $3,000 so if you want the 605 it is well worth overpaying that $4,000 from factory and having the big boy! Plus if you ever decide to go with performance parts on your truck like intake manifold, exhaust manifold or maybe a twin turbo set up you will never be able to gain as much power out of 565 as you will with a 605. For most people that $200 flash will do the trick as Peterbilt Steve and Ivory Johnson are saying.

Thanks for the kind words Mark
Beautiful rig! Peterbilt Steve builds the nicest rigs out there
I Appreciate that
Shame they shut down for a minute
But interiors are so small and cramped. I like the Volvo’s and Freightliners, a lot more space

What a beautiful truck wow
Beautiful Truck Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always liked that blue the Pete has had
Agreed, one of their best colors

Pretty big upfront cost (thousands) to go from 565 to 605. At the end of warranty just have it flashed to 605 for a couple hundred.
Chaka is correct, almost $4k for that 40hp that you will barely notice and after warranty can flash it to a 605 for $200.

We need an emoji of a tricked out Peterbilt Steve left lane hot rod. Nuff said.
Make it happen
Mr peterbilt steve still haven't won the lottery yet. But still playing and hoping keep up the good job
Thanks buddy
Steve, I heard Peterbilt was going to discontinue the 389. Is this true, or is it just malarkey?
@Peterbilt Steve Can you make video of those 567 and 589's you have the specials on?
Sure can
I wish you would/could do a side by side comparison of colors.
I have a plan for that just need to get it done...
Where would the APU go? Doesn’t look like there is much room to fit one.
Awesome rig. Is zero percent APR available on these beauties?
No sir, in the 5s is the best I have ever seen for commercial financing. Personal banks with the right relationship can do better but it is rare.
Bad ass machine.
It is!
Beautiful Truck!
Can you do a 4year update on the X15. Since they've been out.
Really nice
Thanks Claude
Nice and sleek ❤🙏
Thanks
