The real PvP fun is Camp Mage Hand Shoving Contest.
Two magic hands battling, only one winner.

Jaheira was always a Harper. There was a major quest line with her in the second game concerning an off shoot branch of them.

I'm the gremlin, glad our antics got a giggle. I also attacked the grove after that. Suffice to say we reloaded lol

I disagree with Bob's take that Elder Scrolls games are closer to the actual D&D experience. The kicker there for me is the companions. Elder Scrolls followers are so dull and it's obvious that they're just AI controlled NPCs with barebones backstories/personalities (if any at all), leading to it feeling like my character is going through the quests totally solo. Obviously it's possible (and fun!) to play D&D with one player and one DM, but the "true" D&D experience for me is all about playing with other people and their interesting characters. BG3 comes closer to achieving that since every companion is interesting, or at least entertaining, especially in co-op play (which isn't even possible to do in Bethesda games aside from the dumpster fire that is Fallout 76.)
Put another way, I'll never forget Lae'zel, Karlach, Astarion, Wyll, Gale, or Shadowheart. But the only companions I currently remember from Skyrim are Lydia and J'zargo. Lydia is a member of the Companions' Lodge or whatever it's called; I remember her mainly because of the memes. J'zargo is a khajit who my girlfriend has as a follower in her playthrough. Oh, there's also Serana from Dawnguard, but I had to look up her name. That's all I got, sorry Skyrim fans.
Additionally, there are way too many quests in Skyrim that are essentially just "go here, kill that, come back to me." Doesn't feel super D&D to me when I think about it that way. Yes, BG3 is a linear story, but uhh...D&D stories can definitely be linear too. In fact, I'd wager that *most* D&D stories are linear, but of course that's just my feeling, not a hard fact. (And remember, linear =/= railroading.)

I think most creators meant it as a framework for D&D vtt not as a literal like the game. Instead of the vtt you could build a set to use in your ttrpg

Sure Lae'zel is an asshole, but romancing her was as much fun as with Shadowheart.
Maybe because i'm playing Gith: my DM had already played the Early Access and adapted it to a D&D aventure, and i played Gith there. And as always, i read about the race and liked all the Vlaakith stuff, chose to be a Grave Domain Gith Cleric of Vlaakith. My character retrieved the artifact and killed themselves.
So in BG3 o decided to go with the same character (sadly, no Grave Domain, but considering getting the mod for Death Domain and respecing for act 2), and although the plot now makes me go against Vlaakith, it was pretty cool trying to act as a Gith, making Lae'zel respect me and going on these journey together as two Giths trying to understand our place in this grande scheme now. And i'm only just started act 2.
So yes, Lae'zel is an asshole, but as much as I love Shadowbabe, the journey to get to the heart of Lae has been way more satisfying until now.

how to make guidance fit into the narrative without hogging spotlight?
I usually have my character say a short prayer for success.
Yesterday i had 3 clerics competing with religion checks and they all prayed for guidance.

While BG3 is a good game. Unfortunatly I beat it before the first major patch was released so Act 3 was one buggy mess that made me rage and want to end the game quickly.. basically skipping most of act 3 . :P

Wyll and Halsin are my preferences for men, Karlach for women - shadowhart and asterion just remind me of players trying to be edgy.
One thing I would like added is for a continuation after character death. Perhaps you roll up a new character and there is a new scene of how this one runs into the party. It's such a common thing in DnD it would be worth including.
