Bon Jovi were the very first hair band to ever receive an American Music Award. And that's really saying something.
But... they actually weren't the first hair band to be *nominated* for an American Music Award. The first was actually Def Leppard back in 1984 for their album Pyromania.
Fun fact, pyromania was rushed into being released because they heard about bon Jovi's debut coming out.

Whadayatalkin bout. Bon jovi haven't had a hit in 10 years plus. And Richie left 11 years ago. Jon and Richie wrote all the hit songs TOGETHER and Richie sang the harmony. Bon Jovi have been finished for over 10 years. And just ask fans who went to Jon's last concert 3 years ago. No anthem type songs or any hits and he couldn't hit a note in tune. I been a fan since I was 10 and met him age 18 on keep the faith plus in fact many times... they're finished now. It's thank you goodnight. Sadly Jon pushed the safe and effective and it messed up his voice. How many fans he encouraged in ads to go get it. Who had adverse effects from it...pretty bad actually.💔
