Ash Mooingmunky She's not the first female Sonic character, the games have a lot of them Blaze the Cat comes to mind. And all Sonic characters are fast, it's kinda the point of the series.
I honesty am excited to have Tangle in the Sonic comics. It good to final have another female character in the Sonic franchises. It would also be exciting to have her in the Sonic games as well.
I don't think Tangle will replace Silver as Blazes friend considering Blaze is SUPPOSED to be from an Alternate Dimension that runs parallel to Sonic's timeline/dimension whereas Silver is from Sonic's dimension but in the future ... essentially Silver and Blaze should have never met. :/ (But I am not against their friendship whatsoever)
Tangle the Lemur is the best female character in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog! She deserves respect just like Whisper and Jewel. I can't wait to see them in the game!

She claims to be the world's greatest treasure hunter and much like how she has a rivalry with Knuckles, I'd like the same to happen between her and Fang/Nack as he is a treasure hunter to.

The creators acknowledged that having Blaze in the future was weird, wrong, and dumb, so from here on out Blaze is just the princess of the Sol Dimension, and Silver is just some adorable future boi who went back to change the past (alone).
I use to love Zaboomafoo as well. Years ago, I loved watching it when my sister and I went over to my big brother's house. He would put on Zaboomafoo on tv for us. :D

Well, they are not friends, but they will be.
And Silver and Blaze did meet each other in the fixed timeline, for example in Sonic Generations.
In the comics, they actually met in the Worlds Collide with Megaman and Sonic. I'm not sure if they met before that.
