    One of the most sought after body styles in Europe and the dream of many Europeans. GM is producing outstanding values these days and if wasn't for what amounts to tariffs for engine size then there would very few cars that could outsell this car as a super car in EUROPE. Just the SS model is a show stopper in Germany itself and its not because its rare. One of the most distinctive automobiles that's not exotic ever.

    I have one in Red Hot with all of the options, except I got a manual because I want to drive it. I added the carbon fiber wing, blacked out the tail lights, and added a carbon fiber insert gas cap. That helps break up the red and makes it look extremely bad ass. I love this car and highly recommend it! There's simply no other car that can touch this for the price. The engine is amazing, the suspension is fantastic, the handling is like it's in rails, the Recaro seats, the PDR, the heated and cooled seats, the quality craftsmanship, etc. You simply cannot find a car this badass and with his many luxury comforts for the price anywhere.

    • @BB-zv8tx
      @BB-zv8tx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the recommendation, will do. Will take a Black one and do pretty much the same to you(clear 1le taillights, 1le wing &front). Tbh I first wanted to wait till the GT500 comes out(I used to be more of a Ford Guy) but since the specs have been revealed, especially the weight, I have decided to take the 1le. Can't wait for it. Cheers mate.

      Carlos Lago I hear ya. I owned a 2015 camaro and it was such a nightmare trying to park. Long good and low slung profile means I can hardly see where I am and where I'm going. No backup camera meant I was essentially blind.
      One of those with blind spot monitoring and a back up camera would be a dream. Maybe even a 360 degree camera. Would help a lot with parallel parking.

      The water doesn't pool in the engine bay nor does it dump directly onto the motor either. You'll have more water splash into your engine bay going through a large puddle than what will pour through your heat extractor.

      Are you high? The ZL1 1LE has completely unique front and rear aero and entirely unique suspension. It uses DSSV spool valve shocks, not Magneride like the regular ZL1, and it has unique springs, wheels and tires. Why do you think it's so much faster around a track than the regular ZL1, despite having the same engine?

  • @ckryses3962
    @ckryses3962 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Man!!! What the hell you want more from it?? Its 4 times better than Mustang!! I have to say the way Camaro is being cleverly perfected with great quality build and performance, the Mustang is far behind from perfection.. i recently changed sides from Mustang to Camaro when i got to know that Ford is getting greedier by the day and making poor mustangs. Dude they have made mustang interior so ugly and cheap. The much you see mustang from close the more dissapointment will grow.

    To tell you the truth, mustang is only better than camaro because of the back of the mustang looks so stunning. But camaro is beautiful and looks so stunning on the front and more important is performance. Thats my opinion because i see the two of them personally. In mustang, mustang looks so uncool on the front because of why they put the left and right signal on the middle? Why not put it on the headlights? Looks so crap personally.. no bias, it turns me off to buy mustang than camaro but camaro is more expensive than mustang so thats why they're equal 🤣

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brian Flores "then shouldn't this car come standard with them then since it's basically a track car and has 650 horsepower?"
      You tell me. Do the brakes ever fade? Because if they don't, then it doesn't ned slotted or drilled rotors. I told you how this woks already. Do you think the ZL1's brakes fade? If so, tell me why you think that.
      Second, the ZL1 is NOT a track car by any stretch of the imagination. The ZL1 is the GT car version. The ZL1 1LE is the track car, and it has much more aggressive aero and suspension than the ZL1 does.
      "My dodge charger scat pack has less horsepower and still comes with slotted rotors."
      Because your Charger is a huge piece of shit with inadequate brakes. Even with slotted rotors, any 392 Charger's brakes fade on a track within 10 laps, or less. This is because it's very heavy, about 700 lbs heavier than a Camaro, and it has smaller brakes than the Camaro. It also has an inferior chassis, much worse suspension and is generally horrible to drive around a track with all the body roll and terrible balance - all things that put even MORE strain on the brakes. The Camaro's lighter weight , vastly superior chassis, body control, balance and unsprung weight and superior, larger 6 piston Brembos with larger rotors allow for better heat dissipation, and then there is less heat to dissipate because of the lighter weight and the above mentioned advantages that put less strain on the brakes to begin with. The ZL1 does not NEED slotted or drilled rotors, and it will out-brake your scat pack WITH slotted rotors all day long.
      Charger scat pack braking 60-0: 120 feet
      ZL1 braking 60-0: 100 feet
      And again, the ZL1 will stop in 100 feet literally all day long without fading. The tires will give out before the brakes will. The Charger scat pack will stop in 120 feet ONCE, and get worse every consecutive stop after that until they give up entirely, at least in the tortuous conditions of track driving. You probably won't notice in day to day driving because you're allowing them to cool down in between hard stops. I promise you if you go out and actually test this by driving around a track and really pushing them with late braking for better lap times, they won't last ten laps. The ZL1's brakes will last all day without fading in the same conditions. GM is really, really good with brakes in their performance cars, this is something any auto journalist will confirm. Hell, cars like the ATS-V and the Camaro typically out-brake literally everything in their respective classes regardless of cost or brand. And none of them have slotted or drilled rotors.

    So you waited until 300+ video reviews were done on ZL1 and better yet ZL1 1LE and you added ZERO new content. Why? If you wait this long until the real excitement dies down, you need to add some PUNCH. You did not. Why not just start giving us reviews cars from the 60s and 70s.....its just a timely.

    Motortrend is a joke now. It's as if jonny wasn't enough to make an american version of TP, they just had to dial up camisa to turn the show into a sh*tfest. Trying to hard to make the show funny. I preferred Lagos style of reviewing. Short, brief and concise...and direct to the point.

    I drove one, the visibility is whack as fck. They are really pushing to sell these. I see all these comparisons with GTR and how is better in everything when compared to GTR, what a joke. Drive both people then decide. You will 10 out of 10 times drive faster lap times in a GTR than in a Camaro, I'll take a pepsi challenge on this. OH, but the lap times and Nurburgring ,,, YA, were you there? What tires were used? What weight were the cars driving in? I'm talking about YOU, fck what others have done.

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Danny Luna GTR? Really? You mean the GTR that costs almost twice as much money as the ZL1? And to date, the fastest ever GT-R, the 2018 NISMO, traps 126 mph and costs $160,000. The ZL1 traps 127 and costs $65k.
      The ZL1, not even the track version, just the regular GT version, ran a 2:50 for the lightning lap, the GT-R NISMO ran a 2:49.4 which is only 6/10 of a second difference, and that car, again, costs $160,000. The ZL1 is not the fastest Camaro, either. The ZL1 1LE is the actual track model, and it destroys the GT-R NISMO with a 2:45.7. And crushes the Nurburgring with a 7:13.
      So if you are talking about anything less than a 2018 GT-R NISMO, a regular, non-track ZL1 is going to beat it in every way. And a ZL1 1LE will beat any GT-R ever made, on any track anywhere in the world, stock to stock. And it's STILL going to do it for about $90k less than a GT-R NISMO.
      These are documented facts, son. Recorded and documented lap times. If you are in denial about it, maybe you should smarten up a little bit and learn to accept reality.

      smohan123 performance camaros are more track oriented. Challengers are for drag racing.

      It’s okay to be white. Can't do burnouts of any kind to heat the tires for any production car racing that I know of, including autocross and road racing. So... which type benefits from line lock, etc. besides drag racing? Not bashing you or the car, for the record--just asking

    • @WWMMWWWMMMWWWWMMMM
      @WWMMWWWMMMWWWWMMMM 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      smohan123 mustangs feature line lock as well. I never said it was exclusive for the track, obviously most people are going to just traffic light race like with most sport cars. I just said it was more oriented for track and handling. Just look at the official Nurburgring lap time. But I agree, it is a great “Knuckle dragger” drag racer as well.

    I think Chevy should go back to the drawing board with the Camaro with the next gen. Focus on the functionality of the car 1st then tackle performance. The Camaro has no Interior room or storage and EXTREMELY poor visibility. I wanted the Camaro but after driving 1 I felt like It's a death trap and horrible for everyday use so I went with a Challenger Scat
