How the hell can anyone NOT like this?
Good point. I really dig this song.
Rest In Peace Quincy Jones. Streetbeater was my favorite tune of his. This BMJB version is still my favorite version. So tight.
Hey Joe, this is your cousin Albert. It was great to see you at the Phish show and your right this song totally rips! How about that second set at Alpine Valley on night too?
Hey guys, I just drove up to Hatteras for a much needed break from school. I met up with my brother and we jammed this just like olden times.
Well, I did it. I graduated and got a job. It was a collective effort and I want to thank everyone who helped out. BMJB, you pulled more weight than you think.
My 36 year old brother and I listen to this everyday. Thank you.
This was my last semester and I was pretty busy, so I'm sorry I couldn't give this jam praises or update everyone on the likes of J Miller. I saw some nice jams and funk... of course. Other than that, I think I really took advantage of the FL life with visits to the coasts and even a journey to the keys. I'm sure going to miss it here, thanks Florida and thanks BMJB for getting me through the tougher times
I still really dig this tune. I'm working in Louisiana nowadays, its new scene for me. The good news is that this song is the universal language. I'm pretty sure everyone likes it.
Wrapped up the semester on high notes, similar to the notes and tunes in this vid. I hope everyone listens to this song this holiday season to brighten their days!
Sometimes I just listen to this song 2 or even 3 times in a row. Now is one of those times.
JAMMING!! So good to see musicians playing music
Played this for my linear wave study group, everybody loved it. Florida is going great.
gettin' pretty psyched up to go kite surfing on the solstice. Really needed this
OUTSTANDING!!!!
Whoa, long time no share. Well everyone, Florida is treating me really well. I am learning (and struggling) to surf. School is also a fun challenge. Also, I was able to check a couple of states off my life list since my last post. Arkansas was neat and Louisiana had a lot of music like this. Sick tune
Jammed this one last time with my brother before moving to florida tomorrow. Pretty pumped and also a little nervous
this is a riot! I love it, yeah, cats! I saw Harry James and his big band play this around 1976!
Amazing piece of music from the great Quincy Jones!
Completely exhausted but this jam just gave me the extra push to finish up my homework, thanks BMJB
Great tune for sure. Thanks.
Ugh. I moved to Key West a few months ago. Man, what I would give for these jams down here.
Yes! So much YES!
Perfect for this sunny sunday afternoon, great jam
Still jammin' this daily in my morning routine
I'mma comin' Martha! These men play the best version. (...don't tell Mr. Quincy...)
"The Streetbeater" Bubba version.
Awesome groove.
Year 2, Here we go!
Sweet!
This is so sick, at least I think so
3... 2... 1.. Happy New Year everybody!
1,000th!
Whoa all! how has everyone been? I have been busy traveling for work, but I still haven't been able to catch a show. Doesn't keep me from jamming though. I am sticking out hurricane Matthew and enjoying hurricane parties. Lost my power, but not my funk.
NICE, i miss the Hammond though. Gotta grind it.
fun shit
Talk about being excited but also a little nervous.
GUMBO AND RIPPO.
Joe, what's up with your phone? Give mom a call.
Lololol!
WATTS GENTRIFIED. LOL
It's difficult to play it "like for like" to the original. I love the New Orleans style. But sticking to the true Quincy version would had been much better.
ouch !!!!
only big dummies don't approve
