I decided on the Sigma 24-70 2.8 over the Lumix mainly for the value. For the price of the Lumix I was able to get the Sigma 24-70 plus the Lumix 35mm and 50mm 1.8 primes. Can't beat that.
This lens is terrific, the micro-contrast is very high, you will not get something like that on Sony FE zooms sadly (I tried all of them). For me the micro-contrast was the main selling point.
I do use a soft filtration, typically 1/8th black mist. These are just the sample shots I have laying around since I normally always use a little bit of diffusion when I am shooting to avoid sharpness

Would love to see a comparison review between this and the new sigma art II 24 - 70mm
this would be amazing!
This is my dream lens. I only have the 20-60.
Yeah this lens rocks! It is my only lens I basically use at the moment
@@MatthewDangyou What luts did you use? I like the skin tones of your B-roll clips in this video.
@shridexdigi1982 I use the classic teal and orange from my store matthewdangyou.com :)

Awesome review! Would you say this lens optically performs better than the Panasonic S-Series F1.8 primes?
What do you think side by side vs 35 mm , thanks a lot
Hello, amazing review, the shots with the man in car and the girl do you use some soft filtration ? or just the lens

Thank you, I really appreciate your response, when do you make the versus with the 35 1.8@@MatthewDangyou
What kind of lens did you use for this? And I think I saw your F stop was 2.8.
And did you have any other kind of lighting besides the two RGB lights?
Is there any Stabilisation on the lens?
I don’t believe it does but honestly with the S5iiX plus the weight of the lens you really won’t notice anything
No.
