I believe her mental health issues probably weren’t that severe until after she was put on so much hard medication for years… I feel like her family originally had a good reason to look out for her, but then started using her for monetary gains.
I was in school when "Work Bitch" came out. Her father took control of her b/c she couldn't control herself (I also remember when she shaved her head). She has always needed help but ppl don't want to see that. Now that I'm an adult, I see the problems even more.
I was never a fan, but since I am a year younger than Britney and she was all over the tv from the time she came out, I remember, she didn’t always have these problems. She was a normal vibrant, upbeat young girl living her dreams. She got so big that even grocery shopping, even chillin on the beach there was 30-40 cameras in her face. The people around her looked at her as a product first. I was reading people were giving her pills to sleep at night and others to be up and do all that was required in the day. It’s rumored that recreational drugs were taken as well. She was working kind of nonstop for years on end with no breaks and probably being encouraged to keep going because everyone ate off Britney.
She had a break. Mariah Carey had a mental break somewhere around the same time, but she got help and that was that. Britney was supposed to be getting help, but as the years went on she started sounding like a robot when she talked and seemed more emotionless. She was taking very heavy meds to treat her, and instead of getting better, we all watched her get worse and worse…

Some guests she is great and other guests she hasn’t seemed to mesh well with. But I think the real reason she hasn’t been named a permanent host is bc she has too much other stuff going on at the moment. It would be impossible to be there and everywhere else at the same time.
She is the only co-host who actually draws people to the show.
