I had this happen to me the other day, and it was a weird desync issue with my internet. Noone was cheating but it still said that my Feng was hooked when in reality she was crouching around.

I think its most likely a bug because the David walked to a pallet. Getting stuck in animations is a common issue right now, mostly for killers, and the only way to fix it is to bring down pallets (killer side, anyway). Not sure about survivor side.
I did have something vaguely similar happen when someone unhooked me just when there was a massive ping spike; was unhooked but kept floating around. Couldn't do anything though & the killer could down me.
this happened to me once too, though I could still do gens and get in lockers, but I was stuck floating in the air as if I was still on hook, happened a LONG time ago though, back when megs only cosmetics was the Zoey outfit form l4d xD
Same exact thing happened to me yesterday. I wasn't hacking, my ping just had a huge spike and I couldn't do anything for the rest of the match, so I just left.

It could be bad lag. I watched a streamer get huge lag and at one point she was following the killer in 3rd person. I've also had issues lately like vaulting a window and landing 4 times plus other random stutters and rubber banding.

This literally happened to me while playing survivor yesterday... I was stuck floating around all match, could only do basic actions like healing, gens, etc. Only difference was I could still be downed, carried, and hooked. (Though it was impossible for me to wiggle off, the bar was permanently full and said I needed to "find help" to wiggle off).
Other than the hilarious visual, I don't think this really affected anyone's game other than mine, making it semi unplayable.
Must be a new bug or a lag or internet issue. Weird how many people have also been experiencing this as of late...
This happened to me the other day too! My teammate Kate was just floating around the map and also I got stuck on a box in the falling animation and couldn't move and the Deathslinger couldn't hit me or spear me. Weird times we're in for this game man

it could be a server issue, i’ve seen this happen to a few folks recently who weren’t cheating (they were playing survivor lol).
I had a weird glitch like that the other day, I had a Claud on hook, she got unhooked and seconds later I had a weird freeze/lag. I saw her stay on hook, model and in the UI, but she was definitely there with the others doing gens and shit. This game man, this fucking game...

Yeah I went against a cheater too a pretty blatant one they were on the ground without tenacity and they were faster than me on the ground without tenacity they went across the map I somehow managed to slug them to death it felt good 😊. And I haven't play killer in the last 3 months and it was my first game back on to killer and I face against a blatant cheater now I just think to myself how many cheaters have I had on my side as survivor and just not realized it
This happened to me the other day, I got unhooked. But then I was just floating around like that. I was able to play normally & it looked normal from my perspective, everyone else.. saw me floating like that.
This happened to me, too. I was playing as Legion on Haddonfield when I went to hook the Bill first, then the Cheryl second. A massive lag spike then happened, and the Bill was gone, but the Cheryl was still there and unhooked. Over the course of the entire game, the Bill was still doing things but was either invisible or impossible to hit; he was even popping in and out at certain times before suddenly teleporting away. He eventually escaped, but the other three Survivors allowed me to sacrifice them.
So this is most likely a hack that cheaters are probably using in order to cause such a massive disruption or desync that it causes them to become impervious to anything, and still do objectives.

I was a surv and saw smth like this. The hook was just like that and unhooked person were in hooked animation and float to the wall slowly for me, although he was involved in chase somewhere else and sometimes his floating body played a vault animation. It was only for me tho, my friend saw him normally.

Had the exact same thing happen to me in a KYF match. Was up against my friend playing Trapper, and when he picked me up, I was still on the construction equipment. And when he hooked me, I was just kind of floating in the air, holding back invisible tentacles?? And then my friend who Deliverance’d, then floated over to the hook I was on but also not on, and pulled me off, which then snapped me back to said hook.
The other day I was going on a gen but I couldn't work on it. My friend said there was corrupt intervention but the entity legs that wrap around the gens weren't showing for me at all but he saw them. If I wasn't in a game w/ my friend I woulda thought the killer was cheating or something lol. It was wild. I think the game is so buggy lately.
Ive been hooked before and on my screen i was floating beside the hook, and then I saw the killer down someone else and put them on the same hook as me, I couldnt do anything or move, after the game in the chat the other players said on their screens they unhooked me and I just sat there and went down again from the killer. So maybe it was just one of those issues of desync?
I remember one time I was bugged I was playing a custom and I was crawling on the ground but I couldn’t be more either or picked up and people saw me just T posing and I made sure no one could hear me so I couldn’t make it through the exit

It was either hacking or it's on DBD's end because this happened to me too and I;m on console and was facing a console-only team. I was so confused because a Steve was stuck on a hook for me and I had downed someone at the gate and couldn't hook them on the Steve hook
I've had a bug where I glitches under the map, same speed as the David, I had a hit box on the Mao, but they couldn't down me, but when I unhooked I popped back up
Something like this had happened with my friend except they were stuff in the pyramidhead cage animation?? And they could still be downed but whenever they walked around or even got in a locker they were floating like they were still in the cage? It was super weird
I've had the same thing happen to me on the same map as killer. I hit a major lag spike while someone was getting rescued from the hook and it became unusable afterward. They had the same issue as the David and the game wouldn't end till they bled out so it took a bit.
Bag lag. i had one recently were killer kept carrying me on and on until hooking animation catches up, i apparently had been already rescued from hook but kept floating above hook until killer smacked me and hooked me second time. frustrading

I've had something similar happen when I lagged on both survivor and killer. On survivor I lagged as someone got unhooked, so for the rest of the game it still said she was hooked for me and she was floating around like the David in the picture. Only for me though my friends didn't have the same issue.
And on killer my game lagged when I hit someone at a pallet. Throughout the rest of the game on my end the pallet was up but I couldn't walk through the gap. I had no prompt to break anything and the survivors were vaulting over, on my end, nothing. But I guess on theres the pallet was dropped. Is a weird desync bug. No idea if this David was hacking but i've definitely had this happen in a legit way

So the same thing happened with me yesterday. Except, when I had a huge lag spike, literally went up to 1000. I got hooked, and I was stuck in the hook animation for the rest of the game, I couldn't move though. And I messaged my teammate asking if they could see me hooked, they said no and we both took screenshots of our perspective, for him I was on the floor, normally, for me I was stuck in the air. Even though someone had unhooked me.
I had the same thing happen to me. The UI said they died, and then I had one person on a hook, 2 slugged, and then a gen popped on the otherside of the map. I was so confused I went over there to check on the gen and suddenly everyone's up. The Yui somehow didn't die even though the game thought she did, and I had to kill her again for the game to register her dead. The first hook she was on initially was still unusable since she was still "there". Even though I was confused af tho I still got a 4k with perkless wrath on badham all things considered so 🤷.
I had this but with struggling. Not once. I was in struggling animation on hook and after unhook.
Idk if they were cheating because something similar happened to me. I was unhooked in the struggle state and I just started floating in the hooked position for the rest of the game😩

It is a bug it’s been happening to people what happens is when you hook someone and then someone goes to unhook while the killer is a far away or somewhere within the hooks for sanity it will happen and they will still show that they’re on the hook but they’ve already been unhooked and basically they’re stuck in that idol stance until they leave the game

I actually have seen this before, I was playing with my 2 friends and this nea died on hook but she was still on the hook and struggling even tho the game declared her dead. when we unhooked her she was still playing and did gens so yeah that was first ever hacker

I'm always afraid that bc of my awful internet and my terrible ping I'll get accused of cheating. There are times my ping will reach 600 and teleport me backwards where a killer will miss me :,)
i don’t want to say he is or isn’t cheating but i did have an experience like this a few days ago where my game lagged super bad. i thought the nurse was cheating because my wiggle progress when i was on her shoulder didn’t let me wiggle off even though i had it at 100% for a good 20 seconds or so and also because during that time (remember i’m on her shoulder) she was able to blink and kick generators. She didn’t keep me there for that long, in fact she glitched towards the hook and hooked me and allowed my friend (we think) to unhook me. I say think because she did immediately swing when i was unhooked but got my friend instead of me and she didn’t chase me the rest of the match because my character still had the animation of me being on the shoulder. the rest of the match i was floating in the air and could only move when i wiggled. i looked like a floppy fish and a Meg opened the door for me because i was able to do the animation but couldn’t actually open it
I mean its common to be stuck in animation but u can still be downed and picked up... so idk if this was a real bug or cheats as he was bleeding but couldn't be downed nor picked up, and he was walking instead of running so im confused? normally would say a bug as u lagged when that happened, they prolly unhooked him during that time and thus a visual bug happened for you but that u couldn't interact with him is a lil sus ngl, so idk

It is a bug, happened to me yesterday, his game probably bugged just like yours, amd hot unhooked, the health state didnt change (he was still hooked) but he got unhooked, with me happened against a myers, my game froze and he downed me while it froze, agter it got back, i was healthy for me but downed for my friend, and I was a super fast slug

That was 100% lag plus a bug. I know, that’s something only cheaters have been seen doing. But I think David got unhooked when the server shat itself at shack, causing the bug.
Something’s been going on since the anniversary stream, all these weird bugs making the game unplayable. The most common ones are on killer, as well. It’s kinda sad…this isn’t acceptable. The game’s bleeding players, and most these bugs will only make more leave.
Very few bugs are actually “fun” especially in pvp games…buuuut I would have had a chuckle at this one anyway lol how absurd.

To be fair, DbD has been super laggy this mid-chapter. There has been tons of rubber banding and the killers I get lag out every other survivor match I play, and playing killer is just unbearable on last-gen Consoles. It really makes it hard to tell what is and isnt cheating.
Had a ttv staring at me through walls i was a vanity mirror myers so i could see her head following me as i walked around in a place where it was impossible to know where i was at bever bothered to turn on the stream but id assume they had the new geforce gaming chair with built in aura reading

My friend unhooked me, everything was normal however they said that Im floating even tho I wasnt, then they did the unhook where I "was" hooked, even tho I was doing a gen at that moment and they got teleported inside my gen, and couldnt move and died to endgame collapse.
Honestlym i think it is a bug, because i got stucked in animation today , as survivour and as killer.

It’s a glitch, that’s been a glitch in the game since Freddy came out and even before then
It was a cheater. Unless they 99'd two gens. the hook progression stalled without anyone unhooking, two gens just popped. Meg finished one, and the other finished a few seconds after with David floating to the rescue. Unless the gens were side by side, she wouldn't have time to get to another one and pop it that fast

Normal lagging can’t go that far, I really bet it’s hacking. Since he’s clearing going where he wants and you can see him move in real time. I’m sure it’s just a new type of hack

DDOS attack DBD's servers? Because remember, you can't lagswitch the server or attack the host because they changed how the games are hosted now. You can only lagswitch yourself, since it's no longer hosted from the Killer's PC.

@@pillowscout have you ever played TF2, Fortnite, Minecraft or any games like that? you can lag the entire match if you wanted to and isn't it a bit convenient the lag started right after the person got knocked?
