Just wanted to chime in a Huge thank you Nick!!! My Custom Medford Full Size Marauder all of a sudden started having really bad lock stick the other day to the point where I almost couldn’t disengage the frame lock! Just tried this Ox-Gard today and it’s totally fixed and feels like it did new!!! Thank you!
OMG!!!!! I have a Mini Division that I was having major lock stick with, tried the Sharpie and it helped, then I found this video, bought the compound, and guess what????? Now I have a Gem!!!! Thank you Nicky Baby.... Keep up the great work and keep pumping those videos out😀😀😀😀
Used some Permatex anti-sieze when I saw this. First impression - Yes!!!!! A new purchase that was giving me terrible buyers remorse is completely out of the dog house. I can feel the lock stick only as a very small vibration through my thumb, but it no longer takes any excess pressure to break the friction. The application is so easy I would not at all mind doing it once a month.
Nick, Thank you so much for this video and suggestion. I recently got a Southern Grind Copper Spider Monkey and got really frustrated that it had some pretty bad lock stick (I know, you had already said that in your original review of the CF version). Anyways, tried this and it absolutely gave me a completely new knife free of any hint of lock stick. Keep up the great videos and Happy New Year!
Great tip. I was too lazy today to go to the hardware store, so I tried some anti-seize compound on a titanium frame lock that had horrible stick. Zero stick now. I hope it lasts.
Thanks so much for the tip Nick. Just bought an Emerson Sheepdog flipper and the lock stick was horrible. Not anymore..this stuff works fantastic! You are the best..tc.
Would this work on a PM2 compression lock? I recently got a Bento box shop exclusive M390 blue paramilitary 2 and the loco stick is crazy bad I've tried sharpie and it doesn't work at all.
BTW My Strider SMF pocket clip was against the lock bar when blade was open, which aided in the lock stick. I stretch the clip out so it no longer was touching the lock bar when blade was open. This solved my lock stick problem.
Hey nick, how would you describe the application? should I opt for a thin film or be more liberal with it. I've tried both, with the same antioxidant you used, and have had zero luck on my spyderco myrtle. Would the fact the myrtle looks like it has a carbidised lock face effect it? cheers!
I have tried this method on several knives with lock stick and I do not notice any lessoning of the problem. I have cleaned the anvil first and then applyied the Anti-oxidant compound. My Roach is still horrible to close along with others. I am a mechanical engineer in construction thus very familiar with the compound.
Appreciate it.... But didn't fix the ol strider .... Ya know, as rare as "lock stick" on a strider is, I'm sure it's hard to believe me... Nevertheless, it's there and very apparent. 🙄

2-19-23 while on vacation in st. Pete beach area, I see a young Nick review and it is gold.
Great stuff for your flashlight threads also. A little goes a long way. Helps prevent gauling and keeps the seals from degrading.
Oh WOW! Nick, thank you soooo much. You saved my recent acquisition of a used 0560. Grateful my friend. You are awesome.
