Continuing on from my theme of looking back of the rugby memories I’ve collected over the years at Hilton College, I’ve decided to launch a series of videos profiling some of the standout players that played for the Hilton College 1stXV during this time. Today’s video:
    Andrew Peverelle
    Loosehead Prop
    Hilton College 1stXV 2014, 2015 and 2016
    Sharks u18 Cravenweek 2015
Andrew was a powerful and mobile loosehead prop that was exceptionally passionate about the game and committed to his craft. He is the strongest schoolboy player I have worked with to date! Apart from dominating in the scrums he also contributed in loose play and his workrate stats were often the best in the team. He has gone on to play for Hartpury University 1stXV in England.
Mr Greg Miller: “What I loved about Pev was that he got the job done. He kept things simple; scrummaged like a machine, made his hits, carried when needed and he did all this extremely well. He had a real passion for the game and loved every opportunity he had to get out on to the training field. As a big fellow, he had ability to offload in the collision which was deadly on attack. He often won his collision and then managed to put players away into space. He loved the physical stuff and the harder the better for him. A great man to have up front in the engine room.”
Mr Brad Macleod-Henderson: “Pev was an exceptionally strong and hardworking prop who had the ability to play both loose and tight head. His athleticism allowed him to make lots of tackles, carries and to steal the ball at the breakdown.”
