I used to live in Engadine, I used to drive the Nash at least twice a week in my 2008 WRX, the run up to Waterfall was magnificent, low gears lots of throttle, the week before I moved to the UK it took it for one last run through the park, some serious brake fade afterwards !! The illawara Highway was another beauty and not to mention the 3 hour drive up to Bathurst. Love Aus Love the roads, This vid makes me miss it even more :(
Last time I went here I ended up stuck behind a Yaris doing 40 the entire time. I also passed a police commodore at least every 2 minutes. It's a great road for the scenery, and some of the corners are tight enough to enjoy while staying around the speed limit, but the road isn't as fun as it could be.
Btw just wanted to add, that constant ringing sound you hear in the background was either the pulleys(most likely) or the water pump going out - not exactly sure which as I replaced both.
cool..on my way to the airport. left you the sat nav on top of the fridge and a to do list Breakfast in Glasgow, Shopping in Edinburgh city with a visit to the castle, Climbing Ben Nevis and a day to look for the loch ness monster...hope you love midges as there flying about and there hungry. lol
Try to ride this road pretty often, only problem is since the crash cops are everywhere... though the tighter sections are still enjoyable under the limit like macquarie pass...
come to nz the roads are made for driving , athurs pass , west coast , wanaka , near queens town , best driving roads , i live in australia , but i have more fun back in my home country , nz has mountains
Looks a great place to visit looks the same as Loch Lomond, Scotland, Fancy swapping homes for 2 weeks ? I live 50 mins drive from loch Lomond i'll even leave you the kayak. nice video.
@LtProfty Believe me, I regularly stop at Garie beach and go for a long walk down the beach.........nothing more relaxing and truly a beautiful place :) But the stopping and sight see-ing seemed out of place in a video about driving.
This is really redundant, but you should know that you're less likely to be involved in an accident on a bike, but more likely to be seriously injured in an accident. It kind of evens itself out. I wish I owned a bike though.

Disappointingly, the editor of this video sped it up; it's not real time, and as such, it is unpleasantly hyper. It's no fun, and didn't allow for peaceful enjoyment of the scenery. Thumbs down.

This highway was shown in Top Gear Australia for their episode with the HSV Grange and the Volvo S60

Sorry to hear that, watching Top Gear I was always under the impression the UK had some decent drives.
If you haven't driven this road in an Alfa, then you haven't really experienced it
