Jeff Hardy honestly has had a crazy wrestling career. He's had some of the greatest matches ever and is a Future hall of famer. Yet he's also had major lows like letting down multi companies due to booze/drugs.

The fact he no-showed twice in his first run, embarrassed the company with the Victory Road incident in his second run and got ANOTHER world title run a year later at Bound For Glory 2012 just shows the favoritism towards Ex-WWE guys over the homegrown talent at the time.

Think about it, he had just been released from WWE over his sobriety issues, that seemed to steem from WWE trying to make him the big star. Now he comes to TNA, and they want him to do the same things that lead to his issues in the first place. Were these intentionally scripted "botches" (though still poorly executed), with Jarrett initially "fighting off" the powerbomb attempts? Or was Jarrett intentionally sabotaging Hardy? Did he simply not want to go through with the spots, and if so then why agree to them? Or were they perhaps not fully planned?

The sad thing about Jeff Hardy is that despite being given multiple second chances (certainly helps he has the look and wrestling talent to warrant giving said chances), he just never learns from his mistakes. Granted, I am fully aware of the plight of both Hardy Boys growing up, but their high flying style of wrestling only compounds to the brothers' legal issues, especially Jeff, who can never seem to lay off the drugs and booze. It matters not whether he wrestles in TNA, WWE, or AEW, you have Jeff Hardy on your roster, he will give you a legal headache, guaranteed.
The irony is that Hardy's high flying style is also what contributes to his legal problems, cause with all those elevated bumps he took (and the pain that comes with it), it always makes him turn to the bottle or to get high off drugs (usually of the painkilling type), both of which are extremely addicting.

I still have the TNA Best Of Jeff Hardy from ‘06 in my old Wrestling DVD collection, and I’d be lying if I said he didn’t look like a mess around this time, but he was always a huge draw for them.

To be quite honest, I never really liked Jeff Hardy's entire TNA/ impact wrestling run. Maybe towards the end with his brother when they were doing the obsolete mule angle and the final deletion. That was probably the best run for both of them. But overall his entire TNA impact wrestling run seemed like he was only there because the WWE wouldn't take him.

Its so weird seeing someone on drugs in a wrestling ring, like sure theres bad wrestlers doing bad wrestling, but when you see a good wrestler on drugs, it’s off putting.

Hardy run in 05 is what put me first on to tna wrestling. (Happened when in middle school my classmate was telling me about his love for hardy/no mercy on 64 etc etc). I remember two years later when he came back to wwe i begged my mom at fye for the jeff hardy tna/hardy boyz dvd. I watched that tna dvd religiously cause i couldnt tune into impact on fsn. That swanton bomb he did at monsters ball was the best

The Hardy Boyz’ hometown is like 20 minutes away from the city I grew up in. I was a kid during their first WWE run when they blew up. Needless to say I was a massive Hardy Boyz fan. To this day they get the loudest pop out of anyone when they wrestle there.
It’s crazy how Jeff has screwed up in every promotion he was signed to.

As someone who still lives and grew up literally like 5-10 minutes from (basically in) Cameron in the 90’s/early 2000’s Matt and Jeff were all our idols growing up around here and all everyone talked about, not a trampoline or swimming pool in the area where you won’t see someone dropping a swanton to this day, they just gave everyone around here hope that there was something better out there for people like us around here that grew up with nothing and nobody to look up to, lol and I love how everyone around here “knew” them or was related to them because they could be telling the truth or they could be full of shit and you’d never know because I do know people legit do know them and people that used to ride dirt bikes and four wheelers with and in the same places they did, because some of my cousins lived around the sandpits/sandhills (lol whatever you wanna call that area) so I rode in that area but never knew or met them personally because they were riding there before my time. But as someone who’s overcame a crippling addiction I just wish Jeff the best and wish he would get straight and get his life right because he doesn’t realize how much him and his brother mean to people around here and it sucks to see him struggling with addiction like a lot of other people around here and he could actually do a lot of good not only for himself but for people here if he could get his shit together and realize that he is wasting a good thing that most people around here can only dream about and it just sucks to watch one of my and a lot of other people around here’s only 2 hometown idols ruin his life and legacy for nothing but a cheap high

This Jeff Hardy run proved what I've always said "Matt is the better Hardy." Jeff might have the looks and higher risk moves, but Matt has the brains and skill. If Jeff didn't have his looks he wouldn't have gotten a million chances and instead he would be doing methhead fights for drugs.

But man his time there weebled and wobbled throughout his TNA run. Bad booking and bad decisions on his part took the magic away .
