these Flowers love the heat! but they too need ample water!....
So today we are at the tail end of the once every long long time ...Break all the Records....Sweltering... Plant Crisping... Drag the Hose Around A LOT!... Heat Wave!!!!!!!
we still are able to pick the heat lovers!

Yes--dragging the hose around a lot, here too today . . . and trying to shade wilting lettuce and transplants . . . with propped-up cardboard and draped fabric . . .
But what a HUGE happy abundance of flowers you gathered, in lovely shades of purple and pink!
And your words about the slightly wilting ones, picked too young and not quite sturdy enough yet . . . what a lovely metaphor . . . to follow down many meandering thought-paths! 🥀🌻Happy summer--and thanks for sharing. 🌞
