except stefan its actually the brooding, dark brother that elena chose. people keep comparing the two series but besides some paralels theyre just so fundamentaly different. conrad has moments that tie him to damon while being a lot closer to stefan, and nothing quite matches damons fun, dangerous and exciting vibe that made him so charming through tvd

I feel like dylan would reallyyyy like season two due to its shift of tone. Season one is all fun, lighthearted, and summer love and then season two takes a shift where its more serious and dramatic. What I love about this series is that it deals with mature issues, like drinking, sex, growing up, divorce, death, it's still really youthful. It really feels like through the of Belly. I read this series back when I was In Jr. High and high school. I'm 27... and was so surprised when I found our they were making it a series. Def. Bring back memories..

That is so cool to hear. I did read the books but I can tell you, the show is a marvelous representation of my interpretation of the books.

The first season is insanely good. Not just by teen drama standards, or early 2000s standards, but by TV show standards. And then it very quickly goes to shit. But honestly, the first season is a perfect TWENTY-SEVEN episode story, it’s more than enough content hahaha.
