I watch these videos and think back to how it took me half a term to build some really simple thing in woodworking class. I'm seriously impressed by people who can build proper things, and even figure out stuff like this by themselves.

As usual, another great video! The only things you may need are a gas mask for the fumes with the exhaust in your face, and some serious padding on the seat so you can take the bumps. :-)

This is one of the only furze builds that I could see myself actually building.
Cool project! Ever a hydraulic disc brake on the front wheel for a bicycle and maybe a gas shock on the front fork? If you only intend to used recycled components or second hand parts, it is still a cool project.
It would be so much easier to just make one out of Legos, no cutting steel or welding. Plus you can take it apart after and build a new thing

I'm a little worried, that bike-frame is not supposed to be stable enough for this ... then again, Colin is pretty light.
It's ok - he's voided his warranty so the manufacturer is not liable. Totally ok.

+Stryke It is not like he's going to do 80mph on it - drifting isn't exactly something done at high speeds with a trike. I would also like to add that this might not be the most dangerous thing he's ever done - by far.

Just got into trike drifting, and now I see this I wanna motorise it.
This guy is a genius!
Pro-tip: don't put the exhaust next too your leg.. especially because the pegs your feet sit on move about when you turn.. you'll burn yourself, shame on you colin.
Also might want to re-enforce that weld from chasis too frame with some extra metal, some peoples welds WILL break and that weld is essentially the flex point your frame will want to bend when hitting bumps (no suspension).
Also, unless you put tape on your gokart wheels you're going to have a hell of a time trying to drift it without rear brakes, i suggest a simple hydraulic piston setup instead of a cable operated brake. (you can pick up bike disk brakes for pretty cheap.. however i'm not sure how well it'll do with engine braking and heat resistance)
+warfl4g ok valid points but... The exhaust can docent get that hot so thats fine. The weld point has very little weight on it as you sit right over the back axle so you'd do well to break it i think. trust me this thing drifts fine with no brake lol. All feed back is good though
