God I love this band! Fantastic show! YOB is a must see live! There is nothing better than standing there totally enveloped and satiated by their music cascading through your very soul...truly a spiritual experience... trust me, They never disappoint.
This has absolutely been my experience the two times I've seen them. Best live band I've seen period. Just incredible how powerful the energy they pump out is, just such sincere and heartfelt music that cuts to your core.
Marrow.. a song that tears your soul to pieces, then puts your soul back together the way it should have been in the first place... transcends.... it almost tells the universe what to do.. and how to do it.
@@bengabrielsen8906 My thanks to you... the coolest thing is that this song was in my dreams last night, so I had to listen to the song on my way to work today. I haven't listened to Yob in about a year (been writing music a lot during this lockdown) and it does the same thing to me as though first listening to it. Mike is a genius and the band is phenomenal and very in tune with existence... cheers Ben... have a great weekend.
There is something different about Yob. Such an amazing meditative trance-like state you can enter while listening. I'm thankful for the fact that Yob is in my life.
My dad’s great friends with him, they used to play in their own band together back in the mid 90’s where my dad played bass and Travis (the drummer) was still kicking back then. I actually just went to his birthday with my pops last night. Sad I couldn’t stay the whole night.
It’s bone crushingly huge in person. Best show I’ve ever been to. The second he hits his distortion pedal after those long buildup intros is an experience I can’t recommend enough
Thank you for recording this and posting it. Glad to see Aaron rocking so hard and I am just glad Mike is even alive, much less strong enough to pour out his sonic soul
I’m completely blown away by how well Mike sings songs like Marrow live. The vocals are insane. There aren’t many bands with the ability to play live music this well.
up there with the great power trios...rush..primus...triumph?...what are some other ones I'm forgetting about?...Sumac,..unearthly trance is in there,...on the doom side...
That blue light is coming from inside Mike!!!!🤘🤘🤘 This band is criminally underrated IMHO. Some circles of metal mock this band. I say fuck anyone that doesn’t like YOB🖕🖕🖕🤮🤮 If half of the new school bands put even a fraction of the heart into their music, as this band does, the metal scene would be better for it.. All Hail YOB, Motherfuckers!!🔥🔥🔥🔥 I mean, how many drummers in metal, or the rock scene for that matter, play black dots on stage. I play on stage with a lot of different acts, and Im the only drummer I’ve seen, who plays deeper shells and black dots, yet they all say, FUCK DUDE, you sound thunderous on stage. Yeah no shit, buckwheat!!🥴🥴
I gotta tell you..... I just don’t get these “Death/Doom etc.” Metal bands. Perhaps it’s just a generational difference of taste/opinion, but this music does nothing for me. I’m sure I’m much older than their target audience (I’m 60) but I grew up listening ( and still DO listen) to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath etc. I guess the old saying is true: If It’s Too Loud, You’re Too Old!
If you don´t like it don´t listen, or at least give it a try. But let me tell you something. The things you feel listening to this band and this type of music are unreal. Stay well and enjoy life.
MIKE is one of the most humble, kind, and most gifted musicians alive
Absolutely

that would be my dream come true to see them live

Raw Paw if this was a church i'd ask for a collective amen

I love how just one of those amps is worth more than my life.
Everything on that stage is worth more than my house!
Marrow.. a song that tears your soul to pieces, then puts your soul back together the way it should have been in the first place... transcends.... it almost tells the universe what to do.. and how to do it.
This is my favorite description of Marrow.

"We love you, Mike!" Love! Yob is love!
Aaron's headbanging reminds me of Cliff Burton :)

total genius drummer

such a huge sound for 3 members. NEED to catch them live.

@@mattharris1217 Indeed! since I posted this comment I've managed to see them a few times now. Incredible band!
Imagine having 3 lead singers, but they're all in one body. That's YOB, Lie That Is Sin will forever be my favorite track of theirs
And those lead singers are also a fantastic guitar player.
Glad to say I live in Eugene, never knew such an emotionally refined band had sprung from here. Going to catch them live soon, I need it dearly.
"...One true moment, Needing to feel, Something true "
YOB Rules !!!
Mike's vocals are so fucking amazing. That intro for Grasping Air at 53:13. so good.
Welcome back Mike... keep healthy my friend.
Quality on this video is impeccable, will watch over and over and over again.
YOB IS LOVE, and mike sheidt songs send me to the very back of my mind spaced out and dazed.
what an incredible performance....marrow is particularly brilliant
This set is what made me a fan of YOB! Amazing!
When you see Yob live, its one of those things you just have to stand there in front of the band and let whatever happens just happen to you.
Love seeing mike back on stage!
Although i think Aeons is the best record so far i think Marrow is the best song they ever made. Sooo gooood.
I guess he meant Catharsis...
Marrow is a beautiful song yes.

Holy shit! This sounds great!
Thanks for posting. Saw them last night in Portland and it was equally as awesome.
Ive recently found YOB, about 5 years ago, but they are amongst my favs. (it takes a long time for me to put a band in the Hall of DOOM) hehe
Glad to see him healthy and rocking -:)
" ...and then it goes to this place. "

Damn Mike has lost so much weight. Hope he is healthy and all is good.
Dealing with severe diverticulitis and getting a colon reaction would cause the best to lose weight for sometime.
Mike is a fuckin trooper.
This is awesome! Yob does indeed rule. Thanks for sharing.
I’m a respiratory therapist, as well! Pretty good good ice breaker if I ever meet him ❤️
Get sideways and watch this unfold! Awesome!

Anybody know what kind of guitar that is?
Jeremy Parson in case you haven’t found out yet they’re monson guitars :)
Heavy
Did I say AS HELL
Why is mike so skinny? It wasn't the stomach thing right? He looks sickly.
Yeah it was the stomach thing, he looks really healthy now
Grow a beard baby face! Jk looking healthy man!
Is it just me or has Mike lost a lot of weight?
Nikolaj Toft Holm surgery does that to some people, especially with big operations like what mike had
holy shit.... He has my tattoo on his fret board.... WTF
