Dear Guillaume, thank you so much for your videos on TH-cam, which I always enjoy watching. I have learned a lot from your videos and it is always a good feeling to achieve new goals with the help by your tutorials. I wish you all the best for the new year 2025! With lovely greetings to France Matthias
This video is not only interesting but your whole channel is making me progress a lot at guitar! I love that we share similar music taste so checking your releases is always a pleasure. I am learning 'Into the Arena' with your video and am so happy about it; I can see that I will make it and that is a huge confidence boost in my journey (In fact I didn't know 'MSG' before your video and 'Captain Nemo' track along with the 1980's full album are along my most treasured Rock finds). Greetings from Brazil and keep on rocking in the free world \m/
Since you asked for suggestions as well (hope its not only gear related), there is a youtube channel called 'Lethal Guitar Training' that takes a passage from a song and plays it at increasing beats per minute (in fact they have done one of 'Into the Arena's' passage as well). I find those videos really great for learning and maybe it could be a good format for you as well!
@@arielreuter8272 thanks for the recommendation of the Lethal Guitar Training. I just had a quick look and I think this will help me too. Otherwise, Guillaume his channel is also rewarding.
Thanks for the very informative info on your setup! Choosing the right speakers for a specific tone is a long quest but I hear you've found yours. The V-type is actually a very allround speaker which sits in between a Greenback M and H but with a higher power rating. The G12-65 is one of my all time favorite speaker for heavy rock. I recently bought an Celestion EVH and if you haven't tried it I suggest you give it a chance, I really like the voicing of it, it lends to everything Marshall'esque, even higher gain. +1000 points for the Mercyful Fate part 🔥
You're welcome. That's interesting. I've never tried the EVH speaker yet. Thank you for the recommendation. You pointed it right, i do agree that the speaker is a key element when building your own rig. Cheers
Hey Guillaume, greeting from Buenos Aires! Great video and rig, love your style and playing. Have you tried the DiMarzio Virtual Solo or Heavy Blues 2? I'm trying to get a noiseless replacement for the FS-1
Hello, And thank you for your comment. I didn't tried the Virtual Solo or Heavy Blues 2 yet, but from what i've heard online it could suit my taste as well. FS-1 pickups are great but they may need a 500k tone pot and they don't stand heavy distortion yes.

Exactly what i did with my 1987X, Was too hot so bright cap off on switch to have less gain.
I like it to have more bluesy and cleaner tones.
Great
Thank you 🙏 for the feedback 😀
Y a les mêmes chez Optim’ Guitare !
Super idée!!!!!
Oh merci beaucoup !
at 14:25 what song by what artist are you playing?
A mix between Europa and Since I’ve Been Loving You.
what song 6:58?
Just a random noodling riff trying to emulate "Queen in Love" by Yngwie Malmsteeen.
sans interet
