I found some college hat but the tag had a white sticker over the bar code and had a different sticker in the rim of the hat with a different price so I wonder if they were a penny
College stuff or grey dot pennied back in the spring, & my stores put the white sticker over the upc & price of $10 then added a sticker under the bill with new upc with the price of $12.
The stores don't usually do mass price/tag changes. Collegiate gets recycled in DG land for years, like most things DG. They'll send old out from the WH with different tags, UPC & FP. You have to find the S18 & S19 hats.
Collegiate didn't penny in the Spring. There may have been a couple gray dot ones, but otherwise Collegiate doesn't penny every year. These are from 2018 & 2019, so they have been in the store that long or they have just been shipped back out from the WH.
@ezpennyshopping In May ,grey dot followed yellow dot, maybe ? Some of the college not all you are right. At my stores, this was 19, 20,21, 22 hats. 23 long sleeve shirts, 23 sweat shirts & pants.
@ezpennyshopping they had pennied in my area when the rest of green dot did. I had found quite a few at that time. However the stores that I have went back into and searched again when I found a few they were back to full price.
Yes, tons of people have found them. I have over 100 paid members & we have been sharing photos for a week. Others have posted on FB, random ones. I'm the first to make the connection on years vs what symbols they have.
@ezpennyshopping I took the weekend and checked 5 different stores in my area could not find a 2021 or a 2019 toy. I did find 1F 2019 hanging color pack but that was 87 cents I'm guessing maybe it's not my area I do have a current sale of 75% off yellow dot, yellow star ,blue star toys. @CathiBlair what green dots are you checking? 99% of them pennued across the board except a handful of things. The big outdoor rugs were excluded...Are the clovers S22 Green & Purple Clovers , S23 Purple Clover? There are a lot of similar items, but you have to find the right symbol & year.
All cheap junk HomeGoods made in China save your money and shop elsewhere!!!!!! The way the economy is save your money for your living expenses utility bills, car insurance, rent, house taxes mortgage emergency money. Buying from DG is not going to save you from being homeless. For employees DG only pay $10.00 hour part time only 20 hrs a week that's only 100.00 a week could you live off that NO ! And No health insurance unless you work 30 hours a week But DG will not give you 30 hrs part time. Dollar general is the worst it's a scam . The prices of merchandise will be going up in January . Their eggs are too expensive at $ 4.00 you can go to Walmart or other grocery stores and get regular for $2.
I pay 1 PENNY for each item. I know all about DG & being an employee, a Manager. What better way to fight inflation, donate to others, save perfectly good items, food from going to the landfills?? Go penny shopping!

Most everything in the US comes from China, not just stuff from DG. Look up any major retailer...Yep, no different.
