Really nice looking Thunderbird, always loved the styling on these. Bro in law had a 1963 I rode hundreds of miles in. It is really cool to sit in the passenger seat with the way the interior wraps around a person. The 390 had plenty of power for it's time, and rock solid as well.
This is a cool looking car! The front chrome and headlights make an interesting look. I like that it has its original interior, the dashboard looks great! Also love the thunderbird decals, and a powerful engine. Thanks as always for sharing! 👍
My favorite body style for the thunderbird! I still see them around sometimes, people treasured them. They were amazingly well built, the door hinges didn't seem to wear and interiors held up very well. A very special car at the time, people kept and took care of them. I wouldn't pass one up if I had the money and space for one.
Hey Jeff. The engine Comp. looks good. Which to me indicates someone get it running good. If I remember these cars did 0-60 in under 10 seconds. Clean it up and a good polish and a dash pad and away you go! Thanks as always Jeff
Yeah, I think this one as been well taken care of mechanically. The interior could use a bit of work, but overall it's a nice solid car. Thanks for having a look my friend!
Had a 1966 fairlane high performance which was rated at 325 hp which may have been underrated for insurance purposes. You could floor it at 90, it’d snap your head back with that C6 automatic. From 90 to 110 almost instantly and buried speedometer in short order. Awesome power.
Yeah very cool. always loved these. If only it took off. ha ha thx for sharing my friend. always great to see. have a question. how do I get hold of you?
Keep in mind that this was a car intended for someone who was quite wealthy, as it was priced at $4,453 before cracking open the options book. This car's only real competitor for the time, the Studebaker GT Hawk, sold for roughly $1,300 LESS at $3,095 brand new. The GT Hawk was also available with a floor-mounted four-speed manual transmission if you so wanted, as the Thunderbird didn't even have it as an option. I'm not saying that the T-bird is a bad car, not at all, but this is something to consider.
I really like these old T-Birds. On the vintage TV show, Perry Mason, Paul Drake, played by Willan Hopper, a private eye hired in every episode by Perry Mason always drove T-birds...imgur.com/2ykh10b Beautiful car. Thanks for posting!
If I had a car collection, there would be a mix of 1956 (born), 1964 (open heart surgery) and 1966 (alive at 10), all convertibles (if possible) and various others the family and I had (including various concept vehicles). The collection originally limited to a bakers dozen. Ya right, maybe two or three bakers dozen? ;-)
Really like the old birds. I had a 65 when I was a teenager. Nice cruiser.
Glad you like it Dale, thanks for taking a look!
This has to be my favorite of all Luxury Sport Thunderbirds! Maybe one of the best examples of Aero Art Bodywork ever. Love it!

Hermoso este 1962 T-Bird. Lujo y todo glamour de los años 60
Gracias por mirar!
When I hit the lotto I have about four cars in mind already LOL
My mother had a brand new white T bird just like this, she used to drive me to school in it, I was in the 1st grade
I like all years of the T Bird 62 is my favorite 👍
Glad you like it John, thanks for taking a look!
Thanks, Jeff. I was shocked it had A/C being a '62. Please do that black Riviera.
It really was surprising to see the A/C on there. Thanks for taking a look my friend! I'll keep that Riviera in mind.
@@RamblinAround Thank you, my online Friend!

Love those "Bullet" Birds with the jet exhaust tail-lights, but that's WAY too much red for me.
I get it, that really is a lot of red :) Thanks for taking a look David!
Those t bird 390s we're 300 how and 427 ft lbs of torque
Yes for red 🚘
Thanks for taking a look Gary!
How much?
Ford Taunus P3 - american way
Ridiculous looking vehicle - difficult to believe we Americans bought these when originally manufactured?
