And that's good to know that they drop them as well after feeding - poor little critters, now we can spare them. 😄 It has been quite challenging to find all possible origins for resources, since there are so many variables that influence which plants/animals you see and what they drop under which circumstances. @@ChaseSmith-e8s Rope has been removed from the game, if there is still anything in game that says it needs Rope, it will be patched out soon. As far as I can remember Tahi's Hut should be one of the only ones that still requires it and can't be completed, but the devs are aware and a fix will come.
You need to feed animals, you can also feed those little "rats" with Berries (I presume you mean the little mole like creatures?). In order to get more creatures to spawn, you need to grow you Colossal Tree and plant Seeds around it within the ecosystem. Creatures will spawn over time, so not immediately. You can also level up your Tree (speak to the Sprite sitting close to it for tasks) which will lead to more and different creatures to spawn. So plant seeds, feed animals and level up your Tree.
