    had one like that at tech in '84, useless unreliable trash due to switch contact issues. one day it annoyed me once too often went and bought a cheap micronta analogue thing from tandy

      Thanks for the comments. I have heard of issues with switch contacts. Some restorers have stated that lots of switch contact cleaner is required to get them going again. I haven't had any issues with the two old manual ranging Fluke multimeters that I have and they are decades old. However that old analog meters do have their place. I have a couple of old Heathkit VTVM's that I still occasionally use.

      No I actually paid $ for this old classic. it works great and still very accurate. Did you trash one? If you have any more let me know.
